Ari's POV
"Eric!" Eric's mom says acknowledging our presence, but I'm much too fascinated by the beauty of the house to be bothered about anything.
If I thought the house was beautiful outside, then let's just say its more than that inside.
"And Ariana, I'm glad you could make it." And that's when I focus back on the situation.
"Thanks m-ma'am, hi miss molly." I greet miss molly whom I only just noticed her presence.
"Hey darling, glad you took my advice."she says then turns to Eric's mom.
"I guess I'll be off now then." She says and they share a brief hug before she makes her way past us to the door.
"Mom what-
"Ariana, I can call you that right, it is your full name, right?." Eric's mom asks taking both me and Eric by surprise.
"Uhm, yes ma'am." I say with a quick small smile.
"Well, Ariana as I was saying, I'm sure you guys have a lot to do so I'll leave you guys to go get started." Eric's mom says.
"Mom!-
"Eric I'm sure you still know the door to the studio, why don't you show her." She cuts him off again.
"Mom!-
"Eric, now." She says in a calm and yet final tone.
He looks like he's about to argue but instead settles with a hard glare and storms up the stairs. Now this is awkward, because I just stare at his retreating figure but stay rooted in my spot as I have no idea what I'm supposed to do at the moment.
"Ariana?." I hear his mom call and turn to her.
"I think you should go with him." She says, a small smile on her face.
"O-ok ma'am." I say my voice shaky as I realize how much I wish I didn't have to follow him, I mean his angry who knows what he's going to do if he turns to see me on his trail.
"Hey." I slightly flinch as I fill her hand ony shoulder.
"I'm sorry." I rush out once I realize.
"It's OK." she says her smile seems sad though.
"I think you should go get on with your project, and don't worry he'll calm down, he won't hurt you OK." She says.
Although I can see her being genuinely nice I can't help but notice how unsure her eyes are, like she is also trying to convince herself, and that just doubles my worries but I still go to the direction he followed giving a silent prayer.
I'm about to panic when I reach the top of the stairs to realize I don't actually know where next I should go, I look back down the stairs to also notice that his mum is gone, and just when I think I won't find it I see a room left open with red light reflecting from it and decide to check it out.
On entering inside, I find out it is the studio as there are pictures hanging out and Eric has his head resting on the wall with his backside facing my direction so he doesn't notice me come in and I don't try to fix that.
We stay like that for few minutes, me just watching while he stay on moving. When he finally lifts his head I take a step back ready for his outburst, but instead he just goes to his backpack getting what I see is a notebook and a pencil and goes towards a desk that sits at the corner then he uses his leg to kick the spare chair close to him in my direction. It startles me so I jump a little but I get the message and sit down getting my own book and pencil.
