That was just the one thing she couldn't promise Can,

to not run away.

She had to tell him that, she had to tell him the truth.

"Can, I can't promise you that, I can however promise you

I won't run away....now,.......at this time"

It was the truth, she knew she would run away if it was necessary.

To keep herself safe but most important, to keep him safe.

Can's grip on her with his one arm tightend right away

when he heard her say, "I can't promise you that"

but when she continued speaking his grip loosend slightly again.

"Please, Sanem, I hope you will never find

the need to run away from me"

Why did it hurt to hear her say she couldn't promise him that?

For now, he was certain she wouldn't run away

so he went to lay his hand barely on her side,

letting out a little breath.

Why did Sanem feel so good?

why did her velvet skin feel so good?

"Let's go outside, Sanem, we will have some tea

and then we can talk with each other"

He was also curious to know what she wanted to tell him.

They went outside where Can had the tea brewed

above the little campfire he had made.

He handed Sanem a cup of tea and warned her it was hot.

Sanem smelled the tea and hoped it wouldn't taste

as awful as that whiskey was.

She looked at Can and watched how he was blowing air at his tea

and how he took a small sip.

Sanem followed his lead and did the same.

In surprise she raised her eyebrows to discover

that the tea tasted heavenly.

"This taste wonderful, Can, thank you

and I wanted to thank you for taking care of me"

Can smiled at her.

"No thanks needed and I really don't want to remind you this,

that you were hurt by me so if I hadn't done that

I wouldn't have to take care of you"

Before Sanem had thought about it she said the following words,

"I'm glad then that you have hurt me"

Sanem looked shocked when she heard herself say that

but this was also the truth.

If Can hadn't shot her, she would never had gotten the chance

to talk to him, to touch him, to smell him.
