Sanem ran all the way back to her family's lair.
Once the fury was out of her, she felt hurt,
that was the emotion she felt the most.
There was nobody present at the lair and in a way she was glad,
it gave her time to cry as a human.
She shifted back into her human form and cried
until there were no more tears to shed.
From exhaustion she fell asleep
until she woke up with the sound of her mother's voice.
Sanem thought she was dreaming but she wasn't.
Gently her mother was waking her up,
nudging with her nose against Sanem's shoulder.
"Mom, you are here, I've missed you so much"
Sanem forgot about a moment what happened
and that she was in human form until her mother spoke,
"Child, I have missed you also so much but what is this?
please shift back to your animal form, baby girl,
you know how dangerous it is to be so vulnerable"
Immediately Sanem shifted back.
When Mevkibe looked into her daughter's eyes
and saw the defeated look in it,
a mother's instinct was awoken.
Mevkibe nudged Sanem again with her nose
and cuddled her with her shoulder.
"My darling, tell me, what's been going on?"
Sanem sighed, "Mom, ....... my heart hurts"
When Mevkibe didn't respond she looked at her mother.
"Do you recognize this feeling?"
Her mother knew ofcourse right away that her daughter
didn't mean the actual physical hurt.
"Yes, child, when you almost died last year, my heart hurted also
but I guess in a different way then yours does now"
Sanem nodded once.
"Now tell me, my dear daughter, why does your heart hurt?"
And so Sanem decided to be frank with her mother
and told her everything what happened,
from the first time she saw Can a year and a half ago,
how she felt about him, how he purposefully/accidentally shot her,
that Can is the beloved of Nazli,
the human who was killed by Emre's paws,
how Emre had returned and was exiled again,
how Sanem had spent the last two weeks with Can.
And that she has revealed her both sides to him.
In the end Sanem told Mevkibe the hardest part.........
