ElaineAfter Jungkook had invited me for a drink, we spent another two hours together where we laughed a lot and found out a lot about each other. I drank the most delicious tea in my whole life and enjoyed myself even more. It was simply very pleasant all around.
Jungkook is a very enjoyable guy you can really talk to about anything, an excellent listener, and always seems to be able to serve the perfect answer. I guess he had to go through a lot in his life, which I could tell from the look in his eyes when we talked about some deep topics and the answers that were expressed quite succinctly.
I didn't want to stick my nose into his past right at the first conversation, so I went ahead with more present-related topics of dialogue. But I was a little curious, I must admit. Nevertheless, he is the one who decides how much of his life he wants to disclose to other people, after all, I'm still like a stranger to him and I didn't want to be disrespectful by scratching open old wounds that have already formed a crust.
He also kept tucking my hair behind my ear, which was falling into my face so stubbornly all the time, so I wanted to tie it in a ponytail but he told me to leave it open because it looked beautiful the way it is. Independent and free.
The number of times I blushed is something I eventually gave up counting.
But the parting was a little bit funny. Neither of us knew whether to shake hands, give a hug, or just do nothing. In the end, we just waved an awkward goodbye.
Maybe I should have given him a kiss on the cheek.
"No, Elaine, what are you thinking like that would have been too intrusive," I scold myself as I lay in my bed thinking about all the things we talked about over and over again, not even a drop of sleep in my eyes although it is already two in the morning.
"God, I need to stop," I mumble turning to lay on my side and drag the blanket all over my head despite it adding more heat to my face than it already has.

"Did you exchange numbers?"
Nora and I are at the mall right now, talking about yesterday and my visit to Jungkook's workshop. Of course, she didn't let me sleep again and called me at the crack of dawn. Although I already told her everything on the phone, she insisted on listening to the whole conversation live again.
"No, we haven't. To be honest, I didn't even think of that," I state as I take a dress off the rack to have a closer look at it.
"Sometimes I really question why we're friends because you're the exact opposite of me. Jeez."
"Can you stop making me feel like I'm doing everything wrong?" I chuckle.
"No, honey, you're not doing anything wrong. You are just moving like a snail." She grabs me by the arm and links it in with hers while she takes me from the dress department over to the beauty counter to smear a red lipstick on the back of her hand.
