In New Orleans

Klaus got the girls tucked into bed, he sighed as he looked around to make sure they were safe before he kissed their foreheads. He turned to leave but was stopped by Aliyah's voice, "Dad?" Klaus's undead heart would have thumped hard if he were still a human. He turned back to her, "yes sweetheart?" He went back to her side and sat on the bed as she pushed herself up.

Aliyah was glad to be getting to know her father, she had always wanted a dad, and didn't know why he was never in her life. She leaned herself against him and closed her eyes, she enjoyed the closeness and the comfort she got from him, "I've always wanted a dad."

Klaus had to hold back tears as he rested a hand on the back of his daughter's head and held her gently. He had missed so much of her life. He was glad to have gotten to be there for a lot of hope's life, but he had also missed so much with her. He kissed the top of her head.

With Caroline

Her leg bounced anxiously as she sat on the plane waiting for it to land. She was almost to her babies, knowing she was safe now made her a little less anxious, but she wouldn't be completely calm until she had them close again. Rebekah picked her up from the airport when she got her bags and she was taken to the Mikaelson manner.

At the manner

She took a deep breath and she walked in. Elijah met her at the door and gave her a hug, "welcome to New Orleans, Caroline. The girls are sleeping and healing quickly. I'm sure they'll be excited to see you. That's all Aliyah's wanted since we've gotten her back." Rebekah nodded and then grabbed her arm, "Aliyah and Klaus have been able to bond a little bit, it's really sweet seeing them together. He isn't a bad father, he does very well with Hope. I know he'll do amazing with your daughter."

Hayley came out of the kitchen with Hope at her side, and she smiled softly, "hey Caroline it's been a long time. Guess we have some catching up to do." Caroline smiled and chuckled, "yeah I guess we do, our girls are the same age, I hope they get along well." Hope bit her lip and looked between the two, "Mom I'm right here. Why didn't we know Dad had another kid?" Rebekah grabbed her hand and made her look at her, "because it was dangerous for Caroline. Aliyah needed to be kept a secret so she wouldn't be put in danger. We tried to keep you a secret for as long as we could. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as we planned. You are the only tribrid, while Aliyah is only a hybrid." Hayley looked at Caroline, "Aliyah is a hybrid?" Caroline nodded, "she needs a little bit of blood every couple days."

"I didn't know hybrids could be born. I thought she would've just been a werewolf, and she didn't come out unscathed. She did have a curse put on her and she was injured in womb. She's deaf to her family members, and anyone she says I love you too. It's pretty awful, especially when you watch someone she could hear, become someone she can't hear. I've seen it happen and it's devastating."

Hope covered her mouth she couldn't imagine having to go through life like that, she had to try to control her powers which could be overwhelming at times but to not be able to hear her family hear anyone she loved that sounded awful. She tilted her head thinking a little, maybe she could break her sisters curse. Yes she was a half-sister, but a sister nonetheless.

She'd only do it if she wanted her to do it, it would ultimately be her choice. Caroline looked between the three, "can you take me to the girls? I need to see them." Hayley led the way up to the room that Klaus put them in. Caroline frowned when she saw how beat up they looked still. She went over and gently sat on the end of the bed watching them carefully, she never wanted to let them out of her sight again, the thought of losing them almost killed her and she wanted to make sure they stayed safe.
