It felt like forever, but in reality it's only been 2 weeks.

2 weeks of awkward conversations, vacant stares and forced laughter. They all felt the thick tension in the air; but no one brought it up.

It wasn't their place to meddle. Jungkook and Lisa were grateful for that. Grateful for how they respected their decision, well— Jungkook's decision.

Lisa still wanted to try; she knew they could do anything, as long as they're together. She was able to forgive. She was able to see past everything he did and love him unconditionally.

But Jungkook had given up on himself. His insecurities got the better of him and now they're on opposite ends.

Jungkook sighed as he drank the cold beer in his hands. Arms on the balcony rails, Jungkook stared at the night sky.

There were barely any stars.

It wasn't like when he had proposed to her, the sky was filled till the horizon line.

"Not cold?" A familiar voice lulled Jungkook from his reverie, Lisa stepped out the balcony, joining him as the their friends soon became background noise.

It was just him and her.

"I'm fine, you?" Jungkook nodded at Lisa, looking at her seeing as she wore a white crop top and a pair of white shorts.

"I'm fine too" she smiled, shaking slightly as she placed her hand on the rails

This didn't escape Jungkook's eyes as he silently took off his black leather jacket, placing it delicately over her small frame.

"Thank you" Lisa, whispered, realising that all she needed was his warmth. She closed her eyes, inhaling the familiar, soft wood, mint and lavender oil smell that Jungkook always had.

"How's your sleep these days, better I hope" Jungkook looked at her sideways, noticing that she'd close her eyes.

"Yes it's better," she paused, taking a deep breath.

"The playlist you sent and the white noise machine you got for me last week really helped" Lisa continued, looking back at how Jungkook constantly checked up on her after she took her things.

Even if they weren't together, she still felt loved by him. He cared about her deeply, and she'll always be grateful for that.

The small gestures like, anonymously leaving blue flowers by her doorstep, delivering her favourite tea claiming that he had extra to spare, messaging her everyday just to make sure she's sleeping well—

It's so sweet, it reminded her of the 'honeymoon stage' of their relationship.

"I'm happy to help" Jungkook smiled softly, his eyes glistening under the starlight.

They both looked into one another and hope the other would just some how build up courage to make a move, to close the gap in between them and bring them back to how everything used to be.

But all good things must come to an end. It had been a beautiful and wild ride, now they must discover themselves yet again. They need to try and love themselves, in order to give love unto others.

" There's something beautiful
about letting go;
In understanding all the
places we aren't meant to be. "

"I'm leaving Korea tomorrow."
