Trying again is always the hardest when all you've ever did before was fail. Each time it just takes a little piece of you and you can't ever get it back.

Each time it hurts
worse than the last.

That's how Jungkook felt as he stared at Lisa as she gardened. He felt like a complete idiot wearing a disguise as he spied on his fiancée who lived next door to him.

As convenient as it is— the lot next to their house was vacant and Lisa had nowhere to stay. She can't stay with a 'stranger'— Jungkook— and she can't stay with the rest as they're obviously busy with their own lives.

So she moved in to the other side— lucky for Jungkook.

Lisa's long thin fingers grazed a the petals of the blue rose that she loved. She smiled slightly plucking one. Clumsy as she is— she had pricked her finger.

She let out a muffled yelp and just like that without a second thought Jungkook was already by her side.

They both stared at each other wide eyed. Jungkook's consciousness screamed "Fuck! Go back!" But he was frozen in place.

"Uh— are you okay Lisa-sshi?" Jungkook coughed awkwardly trying to focus his attention to her now bleeding finger.

Lisa was grateful but nonetheless taken aback by how the situation had unfolded. "Ah ne Jungkook-sshi" she giggled slightly but it was quickly replaced by the grimaced that formed on her face as the pain coursed through her body.

"Let's get this cleaned up, the thorn dug pretty deep into your skin" Jungkook said with such sternest in his voice, it made Lisa uncomfortable.

"Uh, I think I can handle this on my own. It's okay really" Lisa stood up bowing slightly at jungkook. Jungkook can't accept the fact that this interaction would just end; just like that.

"It's okay really— I insist. Do you have first aid at your house ?" Jungkook avoided her gaze as he focused his attention at her bleeding finger.

"Uh .. no" Lisa frowned as she thought hard. "Well lucky for you, I have one at mine" Jungkook chuckled softly, his eyes momentarily disappearing as he did.

Lisa felt this odd pain in her chest. It was as though everything was in slow motion. His Long fringe fell to his eyes, practically covering half of his face.

Lisa felt this
odd familiar feeling.

She wanted to
sweep his hair aside.

She wanted to do it;
yet she didn't know why.

"Lisa-sshi?" Jungkook tilted his head to the side, bending slightly to her level to gain her attention. "Ah ne, thank you so much Jungkook-sshi" Lisa coughed awkwardly.

Jungkook held her hand as they walked towards his house. Jungkook was on cloud 9, completely forgetting the current situation. Forgetting the fact that to Lisa— this wasn't normal.

However, Lisa didn't pull away. She allowed him hold her hand. She didn't want to seem rude sure, but mostly because it felt natural. Lisa was so confuse and she just can't grasp what's happening right now.

A familiar stranger could somehow put her at ease, without even saying anything.

Something was odd
about Jungkook.

She knew there was an odd pull between them. The only question is— why?

Why him?

Why him?
