{7} He Will Kill You!

I sat her down on my bed and got the first aid kit out. I took some medicine, put it on a cotton pad and started cleaning her wounds while she hissed in pain.

My hands were unstable, shaking. I couldn't think straight. She held my hand firmly and tears started streaming down my face. She pulled me in for a hug.

"I promised mom I'd never make you sad. So stop crying you'll make me break my promise." She said.

Its true that dad brought us up as daughters but he never loved us. My sister was my only friend. She loved me and took care of me just like my mother. She even looks just like her.

She went to the washroom and did her own chores. She's way stronger than me. Then she put me to bed and hugged me to sleep. She always does that when I'm sad.

Next day I didn't want to go to work but unnie forced me to. She got me dressed up and sent me off with Taehyung. While in car I was busy thinking what would happen to unnie when dad woke up.  I was so worried that i didn't notice Taehyung calling me.

"Areum, is everything okay?" He kept asking.

"Oh...yeah, sorry I was spacing out."  I saw his hand on mine. It was big and warm.

'Dont remove it please.' I begged in my mind.

"You can talk about it if you want. I wont judge." He said trying to comfort me.

"It's just stuff at home. Nothing special." I said looking out of the window.

He removed his hand after a while. It became cold again. All my worries came rushing back to me.

At work as well I could not concentrate on the files either. I know I was letting a lot of evidence off the hook but that was the last thing on my mind. Unnie is the only person i have. I cannot lose her.

"Areum you seem kinda off today is everything okay?" Jimin noticed my silence and asked. Nina turned to me as well.

"Can i go and make a call real quick? Wont take long." I completely ignored their question.

"Of course go ahead." Nina said this time.

I excused myself to go outside the office and dialed up unnie's number.

"Y/n focus on work!" A loud voice came from the other end.

"But unnie! Is dad up? Where are you?"

"Stop worrying your ass and get to work! Dad is fine. I'm fine too. Nothing has happened!"

"Are you sure? You're not lying are you?"

"No just focus on work or we all gonna get into trouble." She said and hung up.

No matter how cheerful she tries to sound I know she's scared. I don't know if dad is up yet or not but she's not in a  good state.

I was lost in thought when i felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Areum?" It was Taehyung. I turned to face him. "Come on, tell me what's up." He looked concerned.

"I told you it's nothing." I tried to avoid the conversation.

"If it really was nothing big you wouldn't be down all day. Now tell me." He insisted.

"It's kind of personal-" I got cut off by my phone. Unnie was calling. I looked at Taehyung and he signaled me to take the call.

"Dont come home! He will kill you! Dont you dare come home!" And it got disconnected. I was terrified. So was Taehyung. He probably heard it all.

"Call her again." He said.

I nodded and called her again.

"Its switched off." I panicked.

"Do you wanna go home?" He asked holding my shoulders.

"Yes."

"Ok I'll go bring my keys and I'll give you a ride okay?"

I couldn't think straight anymore. I was taking a cop to my home. It's more like inviting trouble. But I don't care. Unnie is in danger. I need to save her.

Meanwhile, Taehyung quickly grabbed his car keys and explained the situation to Jimin.

"Bring back up in case something bad happens. I'm taking her home."

Taehyung got out of the building, grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his car. We both hopped in and he drove off.

"Areum dont worry I've asked Jimin to bring backup they're right behind us." He held my hand tightly. I nodded. I may get into trouble but I need to save her. This time, he didn't let go. He held my hand tightly for the rest of the ride.

Once there I quickly ran inside the house followed by Taehyung.

"Unnie?!" I called her. No reply. I screamed again.

"Unnie where are you?!" No reply again.

I ran up to my room. Taehyung didn't follow me. He stayed put at his spot.
Nothing. She's not here.

I rushed to her room.

Empty.
