"Thanks again Minjae." Seungmin thanked Minjae.
Huijun smiled at Minjae before Seungmin and him were on their way to Seongjun's car.
"What happened?" Seongjun asked.
"I'll explain it on the ride back." Seungmin said, helping Huijun into the car.
Junhyuk helped Huijun in the house as Seungmin stayed behind to talk to Seongjun in the car.
"So how did you get transferred out of her class?" Seungmin asked Seongjun.
"I became a collage student. Look Seungmin, I know you're worried about Huijun but what's the worst that could happen?"
Seungmin was silently furious.
"What could happen? He got pushed over a desk today and scratched up his face. What could happen? Anything can happen. You out of anyone should know that once Ms. Park doesn't like you, she messes with your life. I'm just trying to protect him from her." Seungmin yelled.
"Hello Junhyuk, Where is Seungmin and Seongjun?"
"They're talking outside." Junhyuk answered, stopping dead in his tracks.
"What about Huijun?"
"He's in his room. He's taking a nap since he's a little tired." Junhyuk lied, not wanting her to worry about what happened to Huijun at school.
"Well okay. Are you and Seongjun staying for a bit? I just made some food."
Junhyuk said yes, forgetting about Seongjun and followed Seungmin and Huijun's eomma into the kitchen.
"Isn't that the kid we met this morning?" Seongjun asked looking out the car window.
Seungmin turned to look in the direction Seongjun was looking at and saw the boy named Minjae walking up to the next house's walkway. Seungmin got out of the car.
"Song Minjae?" Seungmin asked startling Minjae.
Minjae turned, saw Seungmin standing by the car and Seongjun getting out of the car.
"Seungmin? Hey." He greeted walking up to Seungmin.
"What are you doing over here?" Seungmin asked.
"That's my uncle's girlfriend's house. They don't trust her and suspect she's cheating so they sent me to check up on them." Minjae laughed.
"What about you guys? Where's Huijun?" Minjae asked, looking around.
"I live here and Huijun is inside with Junhyuk and our eomma."
"I drop them off and my brother is Junhyuk so I'm just kinda waiting on him." Seongjun said afterwards.
"I never asked your name. What's your name?" Minjae asked, extending his hand out.
"I'm Seongjun." He said, extending his hand out to shake Minjae's hand.
"Well do you want to come inside?" Seungmin offered.
"Sure."
They entered the house and the aroma of tteokbokki filled the air.
"Eomma?" Seungmin shouted.
"In here."
They walked in the kitchen to see Huijun and Seungmin's eomma sitting down with Junhyuk eating the tteokbokki.
"Hello boys, who's this?"
"Hello, I'm Song Minjae. I'm a classmate and friend of Huijun." Minjae answered quickly.
"It's nice to meet you Minjae. Please sit down and eat with us."
"Oh, no I need to-." Minjae was saying before he got cut off.
"Please, I insist."
"Okay." Minjae complied.
Huijun remembered what Minjae said. He wanted to show his new friend his singing but no matter how Huijun thought of it, the thoughts of Ji-Tae kept him from even wanting to sing again. He felt like he'd be betraying his best friend in a way.
"Hi Huijun."
Huijun jumped a bit. When he turned around, he was greeted with a cheerful Minjae.
"My uncle's girlfriend lives next door. I was supposed to be there but I saw Seongjun and Seungmin outside. Seungmin invited me in and your eomma invited me to eat."
Minjae sat beside Huijun. Huijun got his phone out and decided to start typing in his notes. He handed Minjae his phone.
"Cool. What did you guys eat? We ate tteokbokki. Can I get your number? I think it'd be easier for you to talk to me like that."
Huijun nodded and wrote his number in his notes and showed Minjae. Minjae put Huijun in his contacts then sent him a baby chick emoji (🐥) to let Huijun know it was Minjae texting him.
