"Do you think she's serious? What if she messes up again? I don't want the boys to be seeing her like that."
"Calm down. Let her prove herself. If she hasn't changed and is back to her old ways, she's out of here. Until then, give her a break."
"So Minjae, we still haven't met this friend of yours."
"Eomma, you could've met him at the hospital, at school, at uncle's." Minjae replied.
"Well your eomma and I want to meet him and possibly his family. Matter of fact, let's go over today and introduce ourselves."
"Father-" Minjae was cut off by his parents rushing to get ready to meet Huijun.
"I swear it's like talking to children." Minjae jokingly said in his head.
"So what I've been trying to tell you for the past four months is that he's mute. He chose to be mute so please don't disrespect him." Minjae explained to his parents as they walked to the front door.
"We would never disrespect your friend. Now if you may, please knock."
Minjae just turned around, put his weight on his good foot and knocked. He then rebalanced himself with his crutches. A few seconds later, someone opened the door.
"Hey Minjae. What brings you here?"
"Hello, we're Minjae's parents." Minjae's father then turned around to Minjae and said "I thought you said your friend was mute."
Seungmin laughed for a good while before speaking again.
"You must be talking about my brother Huijun. Please come in."
Seungmin opened the door wide enough to allow everyone to enter the house. Minjae's parents rushed in, leaving Minjae behind. Minjae gave Seungmin an apologetic look then went to sit next to his parents. Seungmin sighed then shut the door.
"Well please, make yourselves comfortable, I'll go get my brother." Seungmin rushed in order to get Huijun.
"Huijun, come to the living room."
With a little hesitation, Huijun followed Seungmin and was greeted by an apologetic Minjae and his curious parents. Minjae cleared his throat to get his parent's attention. They immediately turned around, got up and tried to shake Huijun's hand.
"Will you please take it down a notch. Anyway, this is Huijun."
Huijun politely smiled, looked down at his good hand then shook Minjae's parent's hands. He was taken aback by their grip.
"It's nice to finally meet you Huijun. Minjae mentions you a lot."
"Eomma." Minjae groaned then put his face in a pillow.
"Well if we may, let's please sit down." Seungmin suggested after seeing how embarrassed Minjae looked.
"Oh, of course."
After a few awkward conversations about homes, there was a knock on the door. Seungmin quickly got up and walked to the door.
"What are you guys doing here?" Seungmin asked.
"We planned on hanging out. Now please let us in, it's freezing." An unaware Seongjun said dragging Junhyuk inside the house.
"Well you see-" Seungmin was cut off by an impatient Seongjun walking more into the house.
Junhyuk shrugged and followed his hyung. They both stopped once they looked into the living room.
"What I was trying to tell you was Minjae's parents are here."
Minjae's parents looked into their direction and smiled.
