Restaurant AU

Alby - Manager. Mainly because he's the only person that can control the chaos that is these people. Finds them amusing and only punishes them because he has to. He secretly makes bets with Harriet, the manager of the restaurant across the street, about what kind of trouble their dumb employees will get themselves into (Harriet's leading at a 10 - 8 winning).

ALBY: I'm betting that one of your employees will get stuck in the cooler within the next month.

HARRIET: I'm betting that one of your employees will set one of the pans on fire within the next month.

Neither win that month since the 'being stuck in the cooler' and 'setting pans on fire' happened thirty-two days after their bet. They both fume in silence.

Frypan - Head Chef (obviously). Cooks a special dish everyday that Thomas has dubbed "Frypan's Special". The other employees fear him most; once, Frankie spilled a good portion of that day's "Frypan's Special" and the fear that the head chef struck into them that day is one that is not easily forgotten.

Somebody bumps into Thomas, making him spill the Parmesan risotto. The dish falls with a SPLAT! onto the kitchen floor.

Everyone's pretty much stopped breathing at the sight. Slowly, carefully, they look towards Frypan.

Frypan reaches down into a cupboard and pulls out his trusty frying pan. No...wait... No! He's...he's pulling out a WOK! Holy klunk!

THOMAS (backing away quickly): BUT IT WASN'T EVEN MY FAULT! IT WAS HIS—

Thomas turns around to find that all the other waiters have disappeared! Thomas is too busy running away to actually curse those traitors.

*****

Thomas - Waiter. But he's That One waiter that makes you stand on the border between pitying him because "he's probably had a bad day" and being frustrated at him as in "let's just leave the restaurant right now". The poor boy is always making some kind of mistake, from getting orders wrong to tripping and almost spilling the customer's drink all over them. Alby has contemplated more than once whether Thomas should've been made a waiter.

Thomas walks towards a customer's table. He literally only has one bowl on his tray and the floor in front of him is absolutely smooth. There's no way he could trip in those circumstances, right? I mean, he's even holding the tray with both hands!

But, no! Fate is cruel. Thomas slips on the recently-waxed floor. Everything moves in slow-motion as Thomas watches the soup slip over the sides of the bowl. His life flashes before his eyes as he thinks of both Frypan's and Alby's reaction.

But, what's this? Someone has dived in and saved the soup! Thomas won't die today!

As his chin and the tray knock harshly against the floor, Thomas pledges one good favour to Minho for saving his skin.

*****

Newt - Cashier/the restaurant's Treasurer (Whatever it's called). The point is that he's the only person that is trusted with the most important job - keeping the money. He has also somehow become the restaurant's mediator; after he had to keep rushing to calm down the customers when either Thomas makes a mistake or Minho is sarcastic.
