Secret Agents AU

Thomas - That one agent that cannot act to save his own life. Most, if not all, his enemies manage to call his bluff. Doesn't help that the poor boy doesn't even have the guts to pull the trigger, not even as an intimidation tactic. His crazy plans work out more often than anyone thought they would though. He's pretty much only alive because of his partners.

THOMAS (pointing a gun at the enemy): Tell us where the safe is or I'll shoot!

JANSON: Come now, Thomas. We both know you won't pull that trigger.

THOMAS (internally): What? How does he know these things?

GALLY (looking both disappointed and unimpressed at Thomas): I can see your hands shaking, shuckface.

Newt - The only rational one in these operations. Has to constantly keep everyone in check; additionally, he has to stop Thomas from acting on his impulses. Is generally a calm person, but a force to be reckoned with if you cross him. Somebody tried to betray him once; that guy is still missing.

THOMAS: Okay. I'm thinking we can break open that glass window, shimmy across the ledge, then enter and escape through the next room.

NEWT (staring in disbelief): What kind of bloody plan is that?? Whether we go through this room or the next, they'll still be waiting for us outside.

THOMAS: Oh. Yeah. Wait, I haven't completely thought this through.

NEWT: You haven't completely thought it through???

THOMAS: I got it! Let's break the window then climb down to the floor below.

NEWT: How in the bloody hell would we even do that, Tommy?

THOMAS: With this rope, here. (holding up a coil of thin rope)

Newt screams internally.

Minho - The no-nonsense agent, the one that wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. He doesn't shoot without warning, he shoots as a warning. Honestly, probably one of the best guys for an interrogation. He's constantly encouraging Thomas to carry out his crazy plans, much to the annoyance of Newt. His verbal assault is probably just as devastating as his physical assault.

MINHO (pushing Thomas aside): Alright, nice guy time is over. (points gun at Janson) Tells us where the safe is.

JANSON: Minho, you wouldn't do that, w—

Minho shoots Janson's shoulder.

JANSON: What the hell?!

MINHO: I'll shoot the other shoulder if you don't talk.

JANSON (clutching his injured shoulder): No. No, you c—

Minho shoots the arm clutching at the injured shoulder.

MINHO (turning to Thomas and Gally): Guess he was right. I didn't shoot his other shoulder. I'd shoot at his face, but I think that would be an improvement.

Janson is insulted; Gally gains a little respect for Minho.

Gally - the undercover agent. Wants to beat the shit out of anyone that messes with him. Always plays bad cop because, well, it's the most effective way (translation: he doesn't have time for the enemy's klunk). Is surprisingly good backup.

GALLY: What the shuck do you guys think you're doing?

THOMAS: We're your backup. In case things get shucked up.

GALLY: How do you idiots plan on being backup when you're being suspicious?

THOMAS: We're not suspicious.

GALLY: Why don't you shanks lose the stupid accents and say that again.

NEWT (turning to Minho and Thomas): I told you the accents were stupid.

PATRON: There! Those three over there! They're spies! Why else would they fake accents?

The enemy guards come in to arrest the Ivy Trio. Gally asks himself what he has done to deserve this.

—A few hours later—

NICK: How did the mission go? Did you get the documents?

GALLY (with a bloodstained shirt and bruised knuckles): Yes. By the way, please don't ever send those three idiots to be my backup ever again.

GALLY (internally): If I have to save them one more time in this month, I will resign right then.

Alby - His serious aura intimidates people when they first meet him. But once they get to know him, his caring nature will surprise you.

THOMAS: When I first arrived, I thought Alby was an intimidating, distant person. I thought he'd be scary, but now?

Thomas turns to watch Alby. The older boy is punching some guy senseless because he thinks it's their best bet at getting the guy to snap out of his Griever-induced state.

THOMAS: Well, at least I know he cares about our safety.

*****

Chuck - Innocent bystander, part-time informant (because who would suspect a kid?). Helps them out without asking questions because he knows they are good people. Helps to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.

THOMAS: Psst, Chuck. Have you seen this guy around?

Thomas hands him a picture. Chuck looks at it for a few seconds before nodding.

CHUCK: Oh, yeah. Lately, I see him going around to Ms. Paige's house with a bunch of other people. I have a picture of their car plates, if you want?

THOMAS (sniffling at the thought of Chuck taking time to help their agency): You're the best informant we've ever had, Chuck.

The other informants and undercover agents feel a pang in their chest, as if someone's insulted them. But one look at Chuck's face and they think "never-mind".

(Gally's still slightly insulted, especially after having to save Thomas for the fifth time in three months)
