They didn't specify the ship so I'm sorry I just really wanted to write Prinxiety-

Virgil and Logan hung out at the beach a lot. They'd bring their swimsuits and listen to music together while watching the waves crash onto the sand, sweeping whatever it touches back into the deep ocean blues.

But today was different.

The air, the smell. Everything felt different.

"Lo? Wanna go swimming today?"

Logan looked up from his book, fixing his glasses. "Why today?"

"Dunno. I'm just kinda bored."

"Sure, I guess." Logan reached into their beach bag, pulling out towels and goggles.

Virgil pulled his shirt off, already in his swim trunks, and headed towards the water with Logan, who was also in swim trunks.

"Be careful of the coral down there." Logan pointed straight (gay) ahead and to the right. 

"Got it!" Virgil walked into the water, feeling the cold ocean water splash onto his legs.

Logan followed, going off in another direction.

Virgil soon got to deeper waters, swimming now. He put on his goggles and looked down in the water, seeing what looked like a green fish swim by.

'What the...' Virgil thought, diving deeper into the water and chasing the large green fish. He soon needed air, giving up on his chance of catching the fish and beginning to swim the surface before being dragged back down past the coral. 

Virgil panicked, trying to grab onto something to stop being dragged down. He looked to his feet, seeing the green fish from before but it had a hand, pulling Virgil deeper. 'THE FUCK!?' He thought.

He passed out soon enough from lack of oxygen. The "fish" pulled Virgil into an abyss, beautiful pillars made of stone coming out of the ground with what seemed like a village surrounding a castle.

"Remus, you idiot."

"He saw me!"

A red merman slapped the back of Remus' head. "I meant he can't breathe!"

"Oh, yea. Gills."

Remus made a bubble in the water, filling it with breathable air and putting it around Virgil's mouth and nose.

Virgil gasped and choked, shooting up from a bed of seashells. "Where did that green fish... Go..?"

"Hiya!" The green merman waved, smiling.

The red merman pushed Remus out of the room and turned back to Virgil. "I'm Roman."

"AND IM UNDERWATER."

"What an astute observation for someone as cute as you," Roman said, winking at Virgil.

"What."

"I've never seen a human before. Even though you have those..." Roman motioned to Virgil's legs. "Appendages... You're pretty cute."

"Are you a mermaid!?"

"MerMAN. Get it right."

"Sure, whatever. Can I go now." Virgil eyed the bubble around his nose and mouth. "How the hell am I alive."

Roman made Jazz hands. "Magic!"

Virgil rolled his eyes.

Roman swam up to Virgil, playing with the human's hair. Virgil, being the person he is, swatted Roman's hand away.

"Jeez. Fisty too."

"Shut it."

Roman shrugged, placing a kiss on Virgil's cheek. "Whelp. See ya later then!"

"Wait you can't just- Did you just- But you-"

"Bye-Bye!" Roman waved, swimming away.

Virgil looked at his options. Either he could swim back to the surface. (Which wasn't a good option considering he isn't the best swimmer) Or, he could stay a while.

He decided on staying.

Not because of Roman of course. But because he didn't know what else to do...

(It was totally because of Roman *cough*)
