"Rem I-I..." Was all Janus could choke out as tears fell from his face to the floor.

Remus gave Janus a small smile, nodding a bit.

"I-I didn't want to I-I just-"

The intrusive trait put a finger to Janus' lips, shushing him and shaking his head. Remus stepped back a bit before sitting on the floor against the wall. He hugged his knees to his chest.

Then he screamed.

Loud.

A long, painful, agonizing scream.

Janus, who was too shocked to say or do anything stood there, holding a hand up to his mouth while he gasped quietly.

There was banging on the darkscape door, the sound not heard by either dark sides over the screaming.

"JANUS WHAT THE FUCK?!" 

The snake side's head shot up to the door, running over and opening it to Virgil and Logan.

"WHO'S SCREAMING?!" Virgil yelled, trying to get his voice louder than the pained screams.

All Janus could do was point to Remus.

"YOU LET HIM OUT?!" Virgil sneered, storming over to Remus. "YO, DUKEY. SHUT THE HELL UP!"

Remus stopped screaming, looking up to Virgil who only glared back before he was shoved into the wall by Remus.

"Remus!" Logan said, trying to get Remus off of Virgil who was being choked against the wall.

Virgil was losing consciousness and quickly.

"R-Rem..." Janus looked at Remus with pleading eyes, Remus looking back in slight guilt, letting go of Virgil and stepping back.

Virgil coughed, holding his throat. "Y-you monster..."

Remus shot a glare to the anxious trait, desperately wanting to yell at him but not wanting to break his promise to himself.

The promise to never speak.

"Now." Logan looked to Janus. "Explain."

"Maybe I didn't want to keep my best friend in a closet for months! I let him out because the guilt was too much!" Janus scowled at Virgil. "How would you feel if Roman was put in a closet!?"

"Roman isn't a monster!"

"And neither is Remus!"

Virgil got off the floor, glaring at Remus. "You're the reason I left this hell hole."

Janus proceeded to slap Virgil.

"Hey! Ow!"

"Get out."

Virgil chuckled a bit. "What?"

"I said...." Janus took a deep breath. "Get. Out. Leave us alone. You aren't welcome here."

The anxious side scoffed, rubbing his cheek where he'd been slapped. "Whatever. I didn't want to stay here any longer anyways."

The two light sides sunk out, Logan waving awkwardly before he sunk out.

Janus wrapped his arms around Remus. "I'll never leave you again... I'm sorry..."

Remus hugged back, letting out a shaky breath.
