Leon still stood amidst the crowd when a movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention.
All the way down the street, you stood, looking around to the left and right repeatedly. A smile graced his face as he looked at you. Did you have as bad a sense of direction as him? Leon's eyes widened however, when he saw the smear of red on your temple.
When you started running further down the street, he took action. "Let me pass, please." Leon started quickly walking through the crowd, people immediately getting out of his way when they saw the look on his face.
The moment he was free of the crowd, he broke out into a sprint, following where you had gone. Thanks to the slant of the street, he was unable to see anything, forced to run all the way to the top before he saw you.
You were on the ground, crying.
Leon immediately ran up to you and put his hand on your shoulder.
"Y/N? Y/N, what happened?!" He asked but you wouldn't respond. People gathered around the two of you, concerned and curious as to what was going on.
When you still didn't respond, Leon took it upon himself to get you somewhere safe. He gently moved you so that he could pick you up and lifted you bridal style.
"Where is the nearest hospital?" He turned to the people around him, a determined look upon his face.
"T-This way. I'll lead you there." A man stepped up and Leon nodded at him.
"Let's go!"

You opened your eyes slowly, a painful thudding pounding in your skull the moment you did so. It took a little bit for your eyes to adjust but once they did, you looked around as to where you were.
The room you were in was completely white; a white bed, white walls, white floor. The beeping next to your ear confirmed it, you were in a hospital. But why? What happened that got you here?
As you tried to sit up, pain shot through your ribs and you groaned softly, placing a hand across your torso. As the drowsiness drifted away, you registered another noise apart from the beeping next to your ear. Something or someone spoke from the hallway and you listened in.
From the noise of it, a television was playing, on which the news was now being depicted.
-Champion Leon, only moments after arriving back in Galar, saved a young girl on the streets on Hulbury. According to eyewitnesses, The girl was wandering around injured when our Champion noticed her and immediately ran to her aid; taking her to the hospital nearby.
Oh right, you came to Galar didn't you? And then you met Leon on the boat. And Leon- wait? Leon is the champion? Your thoughts tumbled over themselves as you tried to get your memories straight. Him being champion would explain that massive crowd.
Wait, the crowd... those two girls!
Your head shot up as you remembered that, causing an immediate pain to shoot through it and you cursed as you clutched it.
"I see you're awake."
You looked up to see a kind looking woman stand in the doorway.
"You've been keeping someone worried." She smiled a kind smile at you. "Let me go get him." She left out into the hallway, leaving you to be confused on your own.
Moments later, she reappeared, with a familiar male in tow.
"Leon?"
Leon grinned widely before moving inside. The doctor left to give the two of you some privacy, closing the door behind her.
"How are you feeling?" He asked as he took a seat in the chair next to your bed.
"Terrible." You shrugged, only to regret that action.
"I can imagine." He said with a small smirk before his face turned more serious. "What happened yesterday?"
"It was yesterday?" Leon just nodded and panic shot through you. "Oh no, I have to find them." You immediately threw the blanket off of you and swung your legs off the bed.
"Whoa, whoa! You need to rest!" Leon jumped off of his chair and walked over to the side of the bed where you attempted to stand up. He gently pushed you back down.
"I can't sit here and rest! I have to find my Pokémon!" The clear panic in your voice had Leon a little taken aback.
"Your Pokémon?"
"They were stolen by two girls after they attacked me." You looked up to Leon to see him with a shocked expression. Seeing as to how he might listen, you pressed on. "They've been my partners, friends and family for the past ten years, Leon. I have to find them." You were basically begging him at this point but Leon quickly shook his head.
"Tell me what happened first. You were attacked?" He sat down on the end of your bed and placed his hand on your shoulder.
The small gesture immediately gave you deja vu as you remembered the purple blur who did the same thing yesterday. That must have been Leon then.
You took a breath to compose yourself and looked to the floor as you started talking. "I had just started walking through town when I was approached by two girls. One of them suddenly pulled me into an alley and started asking questions about how I knew you." You muttered and cast a quick glance at Leon, to see him deep in thought. "When I didn't answer one of them ordered their Pokémon to attack and then she took my bag with all my poké balls and stuff. I tried to go after her but..."
"-The attack left you too injured, I know." Leon finished for you. "Why would they do that to you though?"
"I think they were some crazy fan girls of you, Mr. Champion." You muttered and Leon looked at you in surprise.
"How'd you-?"
"-I heard it on the news just now." You sighed and sent him a weak smile. "I just.. I have to go after them."
"That's going to be hard to do with bruised ribs and a mild concussion." A voice suddenly said and you turned to see the same doctor from before stand in the doorway with a gentle smile. "You can't just go out on your own while you are injured like this. You'll have to wait until you're healed." A sad smile was splayed on her face as she said that and you felt your heart break.
"What if I accompanied her?" Leon suddenly said and you looked to him in shock.
"W-What? But you- you're-"
"The Champion? It's fine, I still have plenty of free time." He closed his eyes and had his arms crossed over his chest as he said that.
"No, you barely know me." You corrected him, looking with a solemn expression.
"I-" Leon started.
"If the Champion were to accompany you, I suppose I could let you go out. If he promises to watch over you and keep you safe." The doctor interrupted with a stern finger pointed at the two of you, a teasing smile on her face.
You turned to look from the doctor to Leon, who had a confident smirk on his face.
"Shouldn't be a problem for the Champion!"
"Alright, now that that is settled. Let me just patch you up enough to make your journey a little easier on the ribs." The woman walked up to you and motioned her to turn to you. You did as she asked but the doctor stopped. "Ahem, Champion Leon, if you'd please."
Leon snapped up his head to see the doctor with her hands on the rim of your shirt, clearly ready to take it off. A blush spread on his face and he cleared his throat. "Right. I'll uh, be waiting outside then." He quickly stood up and walked out the door, muttering a quick sorry as he closed it.
The doctor chuckled and turned back to you. "I ship it." She smirked at you and winked while your face turned hot.
"W-What, I-, We-, We never-!" You spluttered, trying to deter her, causing the woman to laugh. The pleasant sound echoed through the room before she turned back to you. "I'm only teasing dear. Now, let's get this done."
