Two days.
You had been searching the Wild Area up and down for two days straight. Circling every lake and tree, combing through the ruins and walking through the grass - only to then run from the Pokémon that resided there. After spending the day searching, you'd go back to Motostoke and sleep in the inn, only to get back out there the next morning. Sleep was limited but you managed.
You knew this wasn't going to do it for you however.

You woke up on the third day, staring at the ceiling. Rookidee let out snoring chirps as he slept on the pillow right next to your head, sleeping soundly.
Right now, you were pretty sure you had searched the entire Wild Area on this side of Motostoke. This couldn't go on like this. You found nothing, and continuously searching one place wouldn't get you anywhere. So, with a heavy sigh, you got up from your bed, waking Rookidee up in the process and started to get ready for the day.
You were going to go to the one place you knew and then go from there; Hulbury.

With Rookidee perched on your shoulder, you made your way out of Motostoke to Route 3 in the direction of Galar Mine No.2.
As you walked out of the city, you were met with a marvellous sight. A gigantic bridge stood before you, looming over the Wild Area. It gave a fantastic view of both sides. The one you had explored, and the one you hadn't.
As you looked left, you saw the city of Hammerlocke in the distance, standing proud over the landscape and catching the eye of anyone who looked in its direction.
"Do you think one of them is in there?" You quietly whispered. Rookidee gently chirped in response and nuzzled your neck, making you smile sadly and reach your hand up to pet him.
You sighed and dropped you arm back down, starting to move along the bridge. Once you got to about midway, you walked to the side facing Hammerlocke and looked over the edge. You looked around in silence for a few moments before taking in a deep breath and letting out a long, sad, whistle - hoping in vein that there would be some sort of answer. The wind carried the sound out until the echo disappeared, leaving you alone to your silence.
"Are you alright?"
You turned around, surprised at the new voice to see a familiar man. The Chairman, Rose, was standing behind you. The woman who accompanied him on the field before stood a little ways away, looking on with a disinterested expression.
The Chairman had his arms linked behind his back as he looked at you with a worried expression.
"Wh- Yes, I'm alright." You answered with a bit of a bewildered look. He was one of the last people you expected to meet.
"I heard from Leon what happened. How are you holding up?"
"Um..."
"Oh, where are my manners." He chuckled before holding his hand out for you to shake. "My name is Rose. I'm the Chairman of the Pokémon League, and this is Oleana, my assistant."
"Y/N." You introduced yourself, shaking his hand. "I saw you at the opening ceremony." You smiled, still a bit unsure of what was going on.
"As I did you." Rose returned your smile with a cheeky one, referring to when you accidentally got briefly shown on the big screen. His comment made your eyes widen for a second but you shrugged it off with an awkward smile.
Rose looked as if he wanted to say something else when his assistant stepped up.
"Chairman, we should really get going."
