Darkness.
Not the darkness of gloom and dim, no, but the kind where there was nothing to be seen, feel, or heard at all. Only the pitch black color, along with deafening Silence this obscure prison gave is present, welcoming the girl in a haunting atmosphere.
But why was she here?
What could be lying beyond this vast obscurity that pulled her away from reality?
Or was this reality? She doesn’t know. This nothingness blinded her from the true meaning of existence.
“Hello?” her voice echoed mindlessly through the great vacancy, praying for anyone to answer her calls that could signify even a single entity. Unfortunately, no one did, except for a gust of gentle breeze, indicating a presence of some sort of movement, much to her delight.
She wasn’t alone.
" 👉🔲♓¤⛎📬"
A few moments later, images of sorts; hand signals, emoji, etc., came rushing in to her unguarded mind in a fast pace, seeming to glitch with every change from one image to another, it made her head ache from all the flashing. She knew they could mean something, messages in a familiar code, but couldn’t seem to remember where she last saw them.
"🔥♓◾♑📪 👉🔲♓¤⛎✏"
Someone is trying to tell her something. Something important.
“I can’t understand you.” She mumbled softly.
Immediately, she felt actuality tugging her limbs to go back, light forming to view. And just right before she gets totally sucked in, a raspy voice called out.
“Sing.” It went, deafening ringing of Silence followed, but she was already gone to even hear the torment the stillness gave, a scream of tremendous pain following its chorus melody.

She fluttered her honey-glazed golden orbs open, to see her lying on her bed, sunlight passing through her window pane, illuminating the whole room. She groaned, sitting up to try and recall whatever happened earlier.
Did I pass out? She thought, seeming to forget the strange dream she had earlier.
The cut she had from the previous fight with Undyne must’ve been so deep, seeing her right arm tended with a bandage.
“Frisk?” a girl with mahogany hair called out from the corner of the room, its owner zooming towards her, her crimson red eyes glowing with pure worry for her sister.
“You’re awake! I’m glad you’re okay, everyone was so worried about you.” She sighed, sitting at the edge of the bed, and holding the brunette’s wounded arm.
‘How long was I out?’ asked Frisk, only to realize that Chara couldn’t really hear her. Somehow, she kind of red her mind.
“You were out for about a couple of hours. You lost too much blood, but luckily, Sans brought that medical kit with him.” The girl shrugged, deep in thought.
“You know; I think I underestimated him. I mean, I did mention that I don’t trust the guy, but seeing that he looks prepared for anything that might happen, kinda made me feel reassured that you’ll be much safer around him.” Chara smirked, with a strange glint in her eyes, “I’ve never seen him this anxious and careful for anyone other than his brother before. Hmm… I wonder why?”
The chocolate brown-haired human frowned at a thought, ‘What happened?’
Again, as if the girl had the same thought with her, “You wanna know what he did earlier?” she asked, wiggling her eyebrows in amusement. Frisk nodded in agreement, as Chara leaned in to whisper, holding a mischievous grin.
