‘You never told me you could sing, and play so good!’ her voice whispered in his skeletal mind. “Ditto. Damn you’re great.” he complimented in reply.

‘Was it the fact that we just met?’ After realizing what she said, his cheekbones began to turn blue again. Of course, they just met like the day before yesterday. They don’t even know what each other is like. He sometimes wondered why the heck did he actually fall for this human beside him, especially when it’s too early? Was it just her pretty face, or something else? He was sure there’s something more to this gentle ‘pacifist’. Like if he already knew her before. It just felt like it.

On the contraire, she tried to keep the fact that they knew each other before, for herself. She tried so hard just to cover the truth. The truth of the past timeline. It was not because she didn’t want Sans to be mad at her, no. She even thought that she deserves any anger and punishment he might give her in the future. She wanted to hide the truth from him… To protect him. To keep him safe. To keep him alive. To keep him away from the death penalty that may follow, all because of the truth.

“What cha thinkin’ Honey?’ his deep voice cutting off her thoughts. ‘Nothing.’ she replied nervously, which turned out to be obvious. “Is something bothering ya? Ya keep zoning out, like if there’s a skele-ton of problems in that skull of yours.” he chuckled, earning a giggle from her.

Changing the subject, she asked, ‘Where are we?’ She gazed around the room, gaping at every musical instrument scattered throughout this chamber. “Oh nothing. Just one of my favorite places to nap.” he said, slightly shrugging, which earned a frown from Frisk as she mouthed “I’m serious.”

“Interested? Well then, this is the Music Club Chamber, where the club that I also happen to belong, hangs out.” he explained, his voice so proud, as the girl mouthed an “oh” not taking her eyes off the things around them. “Ya wanna join? Ya look like someone who do. I realized that after ya sang earlier.” he added, blushing a little.

She perked up after hearing this, but as if she realized something, she sunk, frowning back. ‘What value would I be, when I can’t even whisper any music?’ she sighed.

“Hey! Don’t think like that! That voice deserved to be in this place. Ya can’t just waste that inside of ya!” he exclaimed, standing up, with his arms to his hipbones. “And ya could play the piano! There must be some way to get you in.” after blurting, he was in deep thought, seeking for an idea. Before, he was ok being all alone playing music in this club he’s in. But right after meeting Frisk, everything went upside down. All he wanted was to play music… With her by his side.

‘Sans, don’t think, it’s pointless. There’s no way my voice would suddenly burst out anytime soon.’ she said, giving him a reassuring smile, ‘Besides, like you said. I could play the piano.’

“But with your voice, it could instantly create a ticket to this club in a snap!” he exclaimed, as he snapped his two fingers. ‘Is it really that hard to actually get in this club?’ she asked, worried.

“So freakin’ hard! What they’re looking for are not those who can, but those who rise. They’re looking for stars!... And you’re one of them, I know you belonged here.” he shyly said, facing Frisk. “Metatton and Napstablook are not easy to deal with, and that’s one obstacle.” he warned.

Metatton and Napstablook? The cousins? The star of the Underground, and the uprising DJ? They’re also here? Ok, so maybe she should explore more about this school, ‘cause heck, she felt so stupid and dumb to not even know who the students are. ‘Lemme guess, they’re the club presidents of the Music Club?’ she asked, definitely knowing she was correct. And his nod proved her right.
