chapter 10- coward: show your worth

It's Monday morning my weekend went swiftly I didn't speak to any of my friends except Casey al though I have a feeling she's letting on more than she's leading but at least I won't see her at school. I arrive at school and quickly head to my locker then I see kailey laughing her self off with amber I decided to take the high road and apologize.
Alexa" Hey kailey am sorry for not telling you about me and Hayden I didn't know how you would react but I promise no more secrets and all those pictures misunderstood me and lastly I find it pretty messed up you wished me death but bygones are bygones " She just stood there stunned and then I saw Nicole
Alexa " Listen I didn't do anything with Spencer, I don't even like him and he told me he didn't like you am sorry if you felt hurt " She also stood stunned next Hayden walked in I've had enough of him
Alexa " And for you, all you do is back out when things get heated don't be such a coward, everytime I need you, you just freeze I guess it's dumb I let us catch feels hopefully we can be friends again and Justin sorry I got you into this and Henry well just Henry I'll see you guys later " I say and leave I stand by the hallway and catch a breath and then kailey walks up to me
Kailey " Am sorry about what I said I don't know what I'd do without you I just freaked out when you didn't tell me, am sorry I miss you " And then she pulls me into a warm embrace honestly I missed her too
Nicole " Am sorry I ditched you couz hug it out " Nicole is a piece of work I sigh and hug her they all leave as Hayden approaches me then kailey and Nicole whispered " Get him girl " I just chuckled a bit am sick of him.
Hayden " I know am a coward sometimes, and I always freeze when you need me, but I'll be better for you if you'll let me "
Alexa " And amber? "
Hayden " We we're never really together, I thought I liked her but I don't " I just choose to ignore his little drama " I forgive you " I said " Thank you queen " And then he hugged me it felt good breathing in his scent again I twirled his hair in my fingers and he tightened his grip on me we always have passionate hugs then we let go if each other slowly and he leaned in closer and kissed my chin why does he tease me we let go and we just stare at each other I look around and find Spencer smirking at us
Spencer " Study sesh, angel? "
Alexa " Yeah sure I'll see you later Hayden "
Hayden " Bye queen "
He takes me to the field luckily my first period is free
Alexa " Why'd you bring me here "
Spencer " So you and homeboy are dating "
Alexa " No it's just a kiss no biggie " I say trying to hide my blushing cheeks
Spencer " Sure lie to me Watson "
Alexa " I can't lie to you, it's nothing am sure "

Alexa " She's my cousin and am wondering if you can take her to spring fling this Friday? "

Alexa " Whatever cruise " I say with a devilish smirk on my face then I walk out on him, I decided to head to my locker and grab some stuff when an arm grips me I nudged the person hard with my elbow then I turn around and behold its Aaron I quickly hug him
Alexa " What are you doing here "
Aaron " Well, I actually came to ask you something "
Alexa "yeah what (raises an eye brow) "
Aaron " I wanna take your friend out for spring fling I want to know if your good with it "
Alexa " You could've called, texted waited till I got home but you came to school!! " I say slightly frustrated
Aaron " That's a yes then? "
Alexa " Yes, it's good with me I promise I won't intervene " He thanks me and leaves but I lied am definitely going to intervene .

After lunch the PA announces that there's a school trip to a neighboring school I am totally going to ditch that and head home but kailey and Nicole wanted to go so I decided I'd go shopping for my spring fling dress alone but Hayden offered to go with me and I said yes so we went after school we leave with his car I didn't bring mine to school, not yet. We arrive at the store and I try various dresses but one really gets Hayden staring at me it was a purple sleeveless gown tightly fitted to my shape with small capes on the side it was beautiful I admit so I decided to take that one for 15 dollars. He drops me off at home and we chat for a little while I was a few feet away from him then I decide to come closer to get my things from the car then I tripped on the sidewalk and fall on him luckily he supports me by gripping his hands on my waist and I rested my hands on his chest we glance at each other for a while and I laugh out " What would I do without you " And he smiles back " Oh Alexa, it's only you " Then we stared at each other for a minute, then we both lean in close and gently kissed it wasn't a forceful kiss he deepens his lips in mine and I suck on his lower lip and I run my hands in his hair, and then we let go to catch our breath i didn't know what to say so I just waved bye awkwardly and leave this that just happen ?! I greeted my parents and siblings and went upstairs to call kailey about it immediately
