We arrive at munchies and take a sit.

Alexa " Why are we at munchies, aren't we going to a cinema "

Justin " I thought we could grab a snack "

I smile and eye the menu, munchies is looking rather quiet that's how it is every Saturday, the red booths are glossy, the tiles are sparkling clean, the condiments are big and red, the counter looks glossy and clean. I stare around and catch a glimpse of amber and kailey, I ask Justin for us to go and join them.

Alexa " Good to see ya kailey, you didn't say you had plans with amber "

Kailey " I didn't think I had to "

Justin " Nice to see you guys "

Alexa " Yeah sure, is that Hayden! " I yell a bit more than I wanted to. I see him walking over to the counter to collect an order, am not surprised though this is one of the whole squads favorite hangout. I see amber fixing her hair and all, then I wonder what is wrong with her 😅 is she trying to look good for him, soon my thoughts are interrupted when Hayden walks up to our booth, his Cologne hits me hard, it's even intoxicating he should stop using it, he wore a black shirt and white pants and he put a brown leather jacket on it, he looks hot if I do say so myself.

Amber " Hey hayde!! "

Hayden " Hey amber, hello Alexa "
He says and kisses my forehead

Justin " Get a room guys!! "

Hayden " I can't kiss my best friend "

Amber " You have a point, but I was wondering if you would go out with me tonight "

Alexa " Like a date "

Hayden " A date, date "

Amber " Yeah, why do you say it like that "

Alexa " Your asking him out "

Amber " Women these days have to make a move themselves, am an independent woman " She says flicking her hair

Alexa " Oh well, I guess so "

Amber " I know you and Alexa are sorta close but your not technically dating "

I was stunned, I was waiting for him to reply and surprisingly he did.

Hayden " I don't do labels, but we aren't I guess "
He glares at me but I don't know what to say.

Amber " Great pick me up at 8 "
After that my jealousy gets the best of me I know we aren't dating but we kissed more than once and well I don't know what to believe I walk out and he goes after me I wish he'd be a coward today.

Hayden " Alex, please don't be mad I didn't even reply her "

Alexa " I know but you could've said something "

Hayden " Like what, we just kissed a few times, we haven't said we like each other or anything "

Alexa " I know I understand, am happy for you " I try and smile

Hayden " Alex, you know I.... " He cups my chin but I move back

Alexa " Don't bother, I'd hate for our friendship to end over this "

Hayden " I know but... "

Alexa " It's alright, I'll see you around bestie "
I immediately give him a tight hug and he grips my waist tight I let go and didn't even look at him and enter Justin's car.

Justin " Should I drop you off at home "

Alexa " Yes, thank you "
He starts the engine and we drive off .

Alexa " Can I ask you "

Justin " Yeah, what is it "

Alexa " Why'd you say me and Hayden are figuring things out "

Justin " I just wanted to know what your relationship was, he told me you guys kissed "

Alexa " Well now you know, me and Hayden are just friends, well best friends "

Justin " Oh good to know if it makes you feel better I'd love to accompany you to kailey's get together "

Alexa " Yeah, sure "
I try and smile but it's obvious am not in the mood I wave him bye and head to my house the white cushions, the smart TV, the large fire place, and the white chandelier, the glass table that carried all the antiques. Yea that's my house. I head to my room take a shower and change into a shirt and a short i did my homework and later feel asleep.

I woke up feeling sore but I take a hot bath and tense my muscles I go downstairs and get breakfast then I get ready to go kailey's get together , am surprised how early it was but she's finally 18 good for her it's Henry birthday too but were not so close , I get ready in a white crop top and a white short, I wear my knee high boots and top it off with a long black jacket I ask Aaron to drop me off at Justin's before heading to Munchies I arrive at Justin's and he's already waiting outside he wore a black shirt with an owl on it and a white jacket with black pants, he lead me to his car and we were on our way, during the drive Hayden texted me.

Hayden
" Hey Alex, we're at Munchies and we're waiting on you, can't wait to see you "

" Am on my way with Justin, we're picking kailey up see you there "

" Oh alright, can we talk please, like talk talk "

" Sure, but when I get there "
I hope things won't get awkward between us.

We pick kailey at her house and she's wearing a pink floral gown, her house was a simple modern duplex, throughout the car ride kailey kept questioning me about justin, I really wish she wouldn't . We arrive at munchies and the whole gang's was there even my parents and kailey's parents they're actually friends . And then they yelled" happy birthday kalina " That's her middle name, we did it just to mess with her a little. Her cake was three layers it was a strawberry fudge cake that spelled " Happy 18 kailey " Weird choice of words right, they was soda, cupcakes and protein shakes I wonder why, she hugged everyone and thanked them for coming, I gave her a bracelet that showed how we first met at school, she threw an orange and it hit my forehead I stood up to fight back but I saw her giving me her hand as a support she smiled and said sorry and invited me to her sit that's how it all started. I glance at amber and Hayden talking but I ignore it and head to Nicole and kailey and started talking then my brother said he had an announcement that's when Justin put his arm over my shoulder, my dad Oggles me but I choose to ignore it. He wrapped his arm on kailey's shoulder and held a soda bottle and said " Cheers to the lady I love, she's finally 18 and now we can be together without Alexa Calling it child abuse ( I roll my eyes at that part) and because of you kailey I want to be better, and that's why I applied for NYU ( I gasp ) and I got in "
