chapter 5- trouble

Hey it's your girl Alexa I know what your thinking what happened after throwing the grenade am I alive or I kicked the bucket well your about to find out..

After I threw the grenade I ran but before I could cover much ground the grenade blew up Behind me making me slip and fall on the ground. Luckily, I wasn't unconscious I stood up and saw I threw the grenade in the principal's car am in major trouble.

At the Sound of the explosion my dad and his team and other staff of the school came out and they quickly called the emergency contact even my friends we're there Hayden was frozen and couldn't move kailey and Nicole were standing there too even Justin.My dad walked up to me I could tell my dad was Dissapointed I put my head down in shame.

We took a walk to the principal's office and when we got their I was asked what happened I didn't want to snitch Hayden i just couldn't so I took the blame usually my shenanigans we're at home not at school the principal was shocked because I never got in trouble I was an Honor's student the nerd of the school he knew that, so he only gave me 1 week suspension instead of 2 my dad was pissed at me and he said we'll have a talk at home.

I walked out of the office feeling so ashamed I picked somethings I needed from my locker and then kailey and Nicole walked up to me " What happened? " Kailey asked " I was suspended for a week I took the blame and all, I might even be grounded for a month for all I know " " What how could you take the blame for what Hayden did " Nicole said looking pissed " And he's not even your boy friend before we know it you'll do more stupid things for boys " Kailey said. I just couldn't with them right now I took my stuff and walked out " Alexa! ' someone yelled out I hoped it'd be Hayden but it was Justin and amber surprisingly " Hey Alexa I heard what happened am really sorry I really wish Hayden didn't do you like that he's better than that " Amber said " It's okay am good " She smiled and left like I said she's a sweetheart. And there he was staring at me Justin Foley " Hey Justin am about going so.. " Before I could finish he cut in and said " I'll miss you and take care of yourself " Wait did Justin just say that.

" No problem I will you should too " I said looking as confused as hell " I just waved bye and left. It was an awkward car ride and I knew it'd be worse when we got home.

" Evelyn come listen to what your daughter did " My dad said as soon as he opened the door " Welcome back honey " She said kissing my dad " Did school close early today? " She asked me before I could say much my dad cut in " She got suspended for a week because she blew up the principal's car with a grenade she took from my exhibition " When he finished my mom was dumbfounded she couldn't say anything she was so pissed "

Alright that's it I don't know what's been up with you are you trying to ruin your life! " She said looking furious " I didn't and am not gonna my grades are good and my attendance is perfect this Is sophomore year I can handle it please! " I said looking tired and frustrated " Your grounded for 3 weeks! " I couldn't even say anything " Evelyn her birthday is in two weeks cut her some slack " I was surprised my dad vouched for me but I was glad he did " Alright Alexa, 1 week no phone period! " I stormed off and went to my room this is gonna be a long suspension

A few hours later my sister called me to come downstairs. " Hey sis, what's up? "
" I heard what you did and am supposed to be the rotten child ( she slightly chuckles) am just kidding what happened I knew you would never pull a stunt like that " Me and my sister weren't really as close as me and my brother but we get by so I decided to tell her " Hayden took the grenade and couldn't turn it off so I took the blame for it " I said looking at her for a response but her face was blank " Alexa, I know you mean well but you have to look out for yourself first, although I know Hayden would risk his life for you, but just take care of yourself alright? " For once my sister made sense " Thanks sis I definitely will " " Great am gonna go shopping bye " And she's back, my sister was taking a gap year before heading to college, unlike my brother who wasn't even sure if he'd go at all.

Yeah we're a complicated family I know 😅. Just then I hear the doorbell ring, it was kailey and Nicole I didn't want to see them actually not after what they said, I let them in and went upstairs but then they followed me am so immature

Kailey " Hey Alexa, listen am sorry about what I said but I really don't think you should've risked yourself for Hayden but am sorry for judging it's not my decision to make "

Alexa " It's okay your actually right it was a bit reckless "

Nicole " No it wasn't you were being a good friend and we're lucky to have you "

She said and both of them gave me a tight hug, I missed my girls already. After the hug we started talking
Kailey " So has he called you or texted you? "

Alexa " I wouldn't know anyway my phone was taken away, I can't wait for my seventeenth birthday I'll be a young adult hopefully no more seizing of phones or getting grounded "

Nicole " That bites, my parents don't believe in all that but am sure your parents will give you your phone back am sure they can't keep it up "

Alexa " Thanks, I hope they do actually "

Kailey " You want us to call him for you? "

Alexa " No, that's okay we'll talk when am back at school "

Kailey " Alright as I know your a nerd I got today's note for you we'll be going now but we'll visit everyday after school to check on you "

Nicole " We can sneak Justin if you want "

I laughed out hard

Alexa "it's like you guys want me to be grounded forever "

We laughed it out and I walked them to the door
