Alec sat on the bed, not wanting to go downstairs knowing that Avia is down there. He almost regrets kissing Avia, almost. He knows it's wrong to fall in love with someone who he's only known for a week, but he can't help it. There's something about Avia that just makes him feel good about himself, protective over her even. There was a sudden knock, knocking Alec out of his thoughts.
"Hey mate, so um... wanna tell me something?" Nate asked Alec as he walked inside.
"Um..." Alec hesitated. He wasn't sure if he should tell his mate that he kissed Avia.
"Don't worry Alec, I know what happened. Avia came down red eyed, she's talking to Rita now." Nate told Alec as he sat next to Alec.
"I don't know what happened. It was like the perfect time... oh god, this is a disaster." Alec held his head in his hands.
"Alec! She is freaking out; she's also thinking that this is going to ruin everything between you both. You have to reassure her that it's not going to affect you have with her." Nate told Alec and patted him on the back.
"Your right." Alec nodded his head as he looked at Nate.
Alec stood up and walked downstairs towards the back. He walked over to Avia, as she saw him, she stood up. Alec stopped in front of her and looked at her.
"This kiss... it's not going to change anything between us..." Alec spoke up first. Avia looked down as her feet, thinking that it meant nothing to him. "I'm not saying that I didn't feel something, because I felt something. But we've only known each other for a week, and I don't want to rush into anything. I don't want to lose you." Alec quickly added, looking down at his shoes.
"I've never had this happen to me before. I've never had a boy even speck to me at all, this is scary for me. When you kissed me, I felt like my worries just vanished. Like I had nothing to worry about, and when that kiss finished... my lips felt tingly, a good tingly like then you eat too much ice-cream and you go the tingle from the cold." Avia told Alec. Alec looked up from his shoes to see Avia looking at him. She had this sparkle in her eye, that's making it so hard for him to not kiss her. It's taking him everything to not pick her up and kiss her. "Like you said before, we've only known each other for a week today, and we shouldn't rush anything, but everything happens for a reason."
Once Avia finished speaking, Alec walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. She rested her hands and head on his chest as he rested his head on her head. They stood there for a little bit but broke away to go eat some breakfast. Avia sat at the table with Alec next to her to see Bacon, scrambled eggs and toast.
"What time is your sister and Nick are getting here?" Joanna asked Avia.
"They should be here around lunch time." Avia answered the elder Jones.
Joanna nodded her head as they went back to eating breakfast. Nate, Rita, Alec and Avia moved off to the "teen" room down in the basement, where it's full of video games, X-Box, PlayStation and a giant love sacks in a book room. Rita and Avia looked at each other and ran over to the books and jumped onto the giant love sacks. Nate and Alec smile and shook their heads as they walked over to the gaming section to play Assassin Creed.
"What book do you want to read?" Rita asked as she walked over to the bookshelf.
"Hand me The Gentleman's Guide to vice and Virtue."
Rita grabbed the book off of the shelf and handed it to the tiny brunette. She reached for The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. The two females were reading in piece when the guys came over and sat on the giant love sacks. Alec next to Avia and Nate next to Rita.
