Chapter Twenty-Six

Alec and Avia walked down the stairs, making Evie look away from the TV to the stairs. As Evie saw her sister wanting down the stairs in a cute Black and White zig-zagged short jumpsuit with a lace pattern middle section, she became more jealous of Avia than she has with anybody else.

"Why do you have to look so perfect all the time?" Evie whine with a huff as she pouted her bottom lip out.

"Oh, come on Evie. You have a body to die for. Come on, I'll pick you something out from what you have." Avia grabbed her younger sister's hand and pulled her up the stairs.

"Women, don't get them." Avia and Evie giggled when they heard Alec speak.

Evie and Avia entered Evie's room that she's staying in, Evie sat on the bed while Avia went over to the closet to see what she had to work with. Avia looked through the clothes and smiled when she saw some clothes come together. Avia grabbed a pair of light pink jean shorts, a pink and green floral crop top and a light blue jean jacket. Avia handed Evie the clothes and smiled.

"Put these on and you'll be good to go. Now, I'm going to go downstairs and let you get ready." Avia spoke softly to Evie before leaving the bedroom and made her way to the kitchen.

"What did you put her in?" Alec asked Avia as she sat next to him at the kitchen bar.

"You'll see. She'll look amazing." Avia answered Alec before she started drinking her drink before sitting down next to him on the bar stool next to him.

Avia pulled up her assignment on her laptop that is due in a few days, that she really needs to edit before handing it up. There was a knock on the door to her and Alec's room about an hour in Avia editing her assignment, she quickly saved her work and then ran into the living to put the laptop on the coffee table. Alec watch Avia in amusement before meeting her on the lounge with drinks in his hands. Evie ran down the stairs and sat down in between Alec and Avia as she tries to catch her breathe.

"There's my favourite nephew."

Avia and Evie stood up and turned to see a woman with long honey blonde hair that's put up in a high ponytail. To Avia, Lisa is a doppelganger to Gwyneth Paltrow.

"I'm literally you're only nephew." Alec smiled brightly at his Aunt. "Aunt Lisa, this is Avia, she's who I've told you about."

"Of course, you didn't tell me that she's goddess like." Lisa playfully smacked her nephew as she made her way over to the nervous Avia. "It is so good to finally meet the girl that has captured my nephew's heart. I've heard so much about you."

"All good things I hope." Avia slightly glared at Alec before smiling shyly at Lisa.

"Defiantly all good." Lisa squeezed Avia's shoulders before turning to Evie. "And you must be Evie, Avia's half-sister. I haven't heard much about you."

"That's because they don't really see me. Avia and Alec have work and school and I have my own school and stuff." Evie answered as she grabbed onto Avia's hand for comfort.

"That's okay sweetie. I would love to get to know more about both you and Avia. But right now, I need to beat up my sister for not inviting me sooner." Lisa giggled along with Avia and Evie. Lisa walked away making Avia and Evie to let out a deep breath in unison.

"See, it wasn't that bad." Alec said cheerfully.

Evie and Avia looked at each other and then back at Alec. They both raised their hands, bawling them into a fist and punched Alec's biceps. Alec flinched back in surprise and yelped a little bit.
