Rita, Nate, Alec and Avia had moved into their place on the 31st of March and the 1st of April and now they are sitting in the car in front of Avia's mother's place waiting to go inside. Avia is very hesitated on going inside, Aria had already told their mother about her moving out with her roommate. It ended in Aria being on the phone to Avia crying her eyes out in the car with Nick beside her.
"Can't I just send her a letter?" Avia asked her three friends who are sitting in the car with her.
"No. Babe, we are here for you. No matter how much your mother yells or tells you how much of a disappointment you are. You are not a disappointment just so you know." Alec grabbed Avia's hand in his, brought it up to his mouth and kissed the back of her hand.
"Please don't make me go in Alec please." Avia pouted as she buried her face into his shoulder.
Avia felt her phone vibrate, she took it out of her pocket to see that she had received a message from her mother. She looked up at Alec in panic, not want to open the text. Alec grabbed the phone out of Avia's hands and unlocked her phone.
"What does it say?" Rita asked Alec after a minute silence.
"It basically says that if Avia is here to tell her that she's moving in with a guy not to come in." Alec summed the text message up as nicely as he could.
Rita, Nate and Alec all looked towards the tiny brunette sitting next to Alec. Alec went to protest when Avia opened the car door and stormed up to the house. Alec cursed and followed Avia with Rita and Nate behind him, they stopped at the door when they heard yelling coming from the living room. Alec rushed in and grabbed Avia's hand to pull her away from her mother.
"If I'm such a disappointment then what's the point of being in a family full of feminists? I want to have a boyfriend; I want to have a husband and my own kids. But the only person who is stopping me from doing that... is you. If you can't accept Aria and I having boyfriends or even trying to actually have a life with males, then don't ever contact us ever again. I don't want to have the woman that raised her own daughters to despise men to be in my future children's lives." Avia spoke strongly and firmly with frustrated tears in her eyes.
"Fine, you have until next week, when I come back, to pack up your stuff and get the hell out of my house then. Once everything is out you are no longer my daughter." Meredith spoke firmly.
"Fine by me." Avia said and walked up the stairs to her old bedroom.
Rita, Nate and Alec stood there not knowing what to do. Alec looked over at Nate and nodded his head towards the stairs. Rita made her way up the stairs with Nate following behind her, Alec turned towards the distressed mother and sighed.
"Miss Foster. I know that you aren't the biggest fan of men, but your daughters need to live their lives themselves. I've known Avia for a month in 2 days and she's a very bright woman. Honestly, she doesn't need a man in her life. However, I think the only reason why Avia is feeling like she needs a man in her life is because her father hasn't been in her live at all. She wants to experience the boyfriend stage that she's never experienced, because she was too afraid to bring anyone home for you to meet them. I'm not disrespecting you or your experience with men, since I know a lot of players out there. I can ensure you that I would never hurt your daughter." Alec ranted to Avia's mother and then walked up the stairs to Avia's room.
As he walked up the stairs, he stopped on the top step to see Avia standing outside her bedroom door. Alec took a deep breath and the opened his arms, Avia quickly walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Alec buried his face into her hair and softly kissed her temple.
