"There are my two favourite editors."

Alec and Avia looked up to see Ross standing in the doorway of their office. Ever since Avia's book Controller came out, it's went skyrocketing the best selling's list and stores all around the world had to re-stock the on the second day of it hitting selves, Alec and Avia had been upgraded to a bigger office since neither of them don't want separate offices.

"Hey Ross, what's up?" Alec asked his boss/father-figure as he set the pen down.

"Well, I keep getting these emails from fans of yours, Avia. They're wondering if you're bringing out any other books." Ross spoke to Avia and Alec.

Alec raised his eyebrows at Avia and smirked, biting his pen Avia threw her pen lip at him.

"Shut up, you." Avia spoke firmly at Alec with a small smile before turning to Ross. "I'll see what I can find in my folder, I pretty sure I have a YA Fantasy in there."

"Thank you. Now, how are the editing's going?" Ross asked the two young editors.

"They're going good. I'm nearly finished." Avia spoke up as she continued reading the manuscript that's sat in front of her.

"Awesome. I'll let you guys get back to work." Ross told the two young editors and walked out.

"Are you really nearly done?" Alec asked Avia with raised eyebrows in disbelief.

"Well, yeah. It's a really great story and I got too invested in it." Avia shrugged her shoulders as she gave Alec an innocent smile.

"Is that what you were doing all night last night? How are you not tired?" Alec raised his eyebrows in disbelief.

"Not all night. I did go to bed around 1, so I'm not that tired." Avia answered Alec as she walked over to sit on his desk.

Alec leaned back into his chair as he looked up at the beautiful women sitting on his desk in front of him. Avia smile softly at Alec as he rested his head in her lap, she then started to racked her fingers through his hair. Alec sighed happily as he closed his eyes, he knew that they needed to get something to eat for lunch. But he doesn't want to leave this moment just right now. Over the past month both Alec and Avia has found something in each other that can be mistaken for a relationship, not that they mind. Avia has had the females in the work place looking at her and gossiping about her and Alec.

"Come on, we have to go get lunch. I'm starving." Avia whispered to the slowly falling asleep Alec.

"Nooo, I want to stay here." Alec pouted without opening his eyes or lifting his head.

"Alec please, I need to talk to you... without eavesdroppers." Avia softly spoke seeing a couple of girls standing outside their office.

"Oh, alright. I honestly think they should mind their own business." Alec glared slightly towards the females standing outside. He saw they whispering to each other while shooting Avia and Alec a glance every once and a while.

Once the females left to go do their job, Alec and Avia left to go get lunch. They walked down the street to their café they normally go to, to get out of the office.

"Alright, what's up?" Alec softly asked Avia as he set their drinks and food in front of them both.

"It's nothing really. It's just... lately at work, I've been getting gossiped and talked about." Avia spoke up after swallowing the mouth full of her Chicken and Mayo wrap.

"Do you know what they're gossiping about?" Alec asked her as he set down his burger.

"It's about us, really. They think we're going dating and they're placing bets on how long the relationship will last." Avia spoke up about the rumours and gossip going around about them both.
