Today is Avia's first official day in her Creative Writing and Journalism course, she is super nervous she could throw up. Avia got Rita to pick out something she could wear that they got when they went out shopping. Avia put on light blue jean shorts with a plain black cropped top, a flannel shirt to tie around her hips and low rise black and white converses. Avia grabbed her laptop bag, phone and earphones. She slipped her glasses on.
"Okay calm down. Alec is in your class, how you got into that class I have no idea how. But you'll be fine." Rita told her pretty roommate.
"I'm allowed to be nervous Ri. This is my first ever class here." Avia looked at Rita.
Both girls jumped when there was a knock on the door, Avia groaned and opened the door to reveal Alec and another guy Avia doesn't know. She pouted at Alec.
"Aww, what's wrong." Alec pouted at Avia.
"She's nervous. She is going to make herself sick if she doesn't calm the hell down." Rita answered Alec and smiled at the other guy. "Hey Nick."
"Hey Rita, so this is Avia that Alec couldn't shut up about?" Nick asked Rita as he sat on Rita's bed.
"The same one." Rita answered Nick as they watch Alec and Avia interact.
"You need to calm down. You are an amazing writer." Alec told the nervous brunette that stood in front of him.
"I can't help it. But knowing that you are in the same class as I am really does help a lot." Avia spoke softly to Alec.
Alec smiled as he took Avia's hand and pulled her out of the room, they both waved to Rita and Nick as they left to get Starbucks before class. Alec started talking about the teacher as well giving her some pointers when it comes to the class. When they arrived at Starbucks, Alec opened the door and let Avia walk in first.
"Alec! Hey, mate. Regular order?" A guy called out from behind the counter called out to the brunette standing next to Avia.
"Hey Dylan, the usually mate." Alec called back. "What about you love?" Alec asked Avia.
"Um... Chocolate Fudge Cream Frappuccino." Avia whispered to Alec.
"And one Chocolate Fudge Cream Frappuccino. Thanks mate." Alec told Dylan.
"Coming right up." Dylan winked at Alec.
Alec quickly paid for the drinks and they went to sit down. Avia looked around and saw that it was starting to rain outside. Avia looked at Alec who was smiling at his phone, Avia being herself asked a question.
"Girlfriend?" Avia asked him.
"Oh, no. It's my sister texting me a picture of my nephew. He's wearing the outfit that I got him." Alec answered Avia and quickly added. "I don't have a girlfriend."
Avia relaxed mentally when Alec said that he didn't have a girlfriend. Avia mentally cursed at herself for doing so, she doesn't know Alec very well so she couldn't have a crush on someone she doesn't know... right? Alec's name got call knocking Avia out of her thoughts.
"You mentioned a sister. How many do you have in your family?" Avia asked Alec as she caught up with him as they both started walking to their class.
"I have 2 older sisters. Rory my oldest sister works in fashion, she works with Victoria Secrets and my eldest sister Nina, she works also in the fashion industry, but she designs clothes." Alec took a mouthful of his drink and swallowed it. "Then it's my mum, Katherine. What about you?"
"It's just Aria, my mum and me. Our mum is one of the most famous lawyers in all of America. She basically went all workaholic when my dad left her... us." Avia told Alec as he held the door open to the classroom.
"I'm sorry that happened." Alec said sympathetically.
"Don't worry about it. So, what's this teacher like?" Avia asked Alec as they sat next to each other.
"Not sure, new teacher." Alec whispered to Avia as the teacher walked into the classroom and stood at the front.
"Good morning everybody. My name is Professor Jordan, today I just want to get to know you guys. So, I want you guys to write about yourself, family, hobbies, why you love stories and books you would recommend for me to read. I will give you a list of books I have read."
Avia and Alec looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders as they both got their computers out and started typing. Avia talked about her family, about her mum and Aria. Alec looked at the list of books Professor Jordan has read and smiled that the book he wanted to recommend isn't on the list. He handed Avia the list and she smiled. The two brunettes smiled as they typed away on their computers, minding their own business and doing the work they were told to do.
Alec and Avia ran through the pouring rain towards Starbucks to; one) get a warm drink and two) to get to know each other by reading what they have typed during their class.
"Wait, you became an introvert because of your dad?" Alec asked, looking at Avia as she took a mouthful of her hot chocolate.
"Yep, I lost all respect for my friends... which were manly guys. Before coming here, I had promised my sister that I would try to go out and make friends... which includes males. Other than Nick and Nate, you're the only male I've talked to after my father leaving." Avia told Alec as she set her drink down.
"Wow, well I'm glad that's you're still talking to me." Alec smiled at the smaller brunette.
Avia and Alec finished their food and drinks and walked back to Avia's room. On the way Alec introduced Avia to his friends, Dylan, Hudson and Lucas since Avia already met Nick and Nate. Avia was shy at first, but slowly warmed up to the other guys.
"Avia!" All the guys including Avia turns around to see Aria and another girl walking up.
"Twins!" Lucas called out.
"Sorry about him, he loves twins. Twins run in his family." Hudson apologized to Aria and Avia.
"It's okay, we get it all the time. I'm Aria, Avia's younger twin." Aria stuck out her hand and Hudson shook her hand.
"So, you're the infamous twin I heard about. I'm Chloe, Aria's roommate."
"Aria, this is Alec, Hudson, Dylan, Nick, Nate, Rita's boyfriend and Rita my roommate." Avia spoke softly.
"Oh, mum called me and told us that she wants us home for grandma's birthday." Aria told her sister softly.
Avia's head snapped up and her eyes narrowed. Aria sighed and shook her head, everyone stopped talking and looked at the twins.
"You mean the women that abandoned mum when she needed help more than ever? Yeah, no thanks." Avia spat out.
Everyone's eyes widen at the venom in the tiny brunette's voice. Alec slowly walked up to Avia and put his hand on her shoulder, she violently shook his hand off her shoulder and stormed off towards her room.
