It's not easy to leave behind your friends and move to a whole different city and it's not easy to leave behind your family and move to a whole different city. Honestly it's just not easy to move to a different city at all. Not even if you're moving with your brother.
It's not hard to understand you were missing your friends, you were missing your old life.
Your emotions were conflicted though, because you were excited to start a new life with Griffin, you were excited to live in The Sway House but you didn't know how to cope with all the changes happening around you.
Finally you we're getting attached to your family in Illinois, you'd grown used to waking up in the same bed every morning, used to being woken up by Macy, used to those family dinners, but most importantly you were getting used to the family adventures, the unforgettable moments with your family that you'd never experienced before.
Griffin was right you're only young once, you need to experience the memories that will happen at The Sway House just as much as you need to experience those family memories.
Moving with Griffin would be like going off to college, which you were bound to do anyway, this is exactly what every other teenager does. This is the rational path for you to be taking, you're supposed to move away from home, you're supposed to have wild teenage years, and you were happy that Griffin was going to be guiding you through it.
As you packed your last belongings into the suit case you felt like you were finally ready for the next adventure life had in store for you.
"Yo, y/n! You ready to go?" Griffin yelled from outside your door
You zipped your suitcase and headed downstairs and into the living room, the goodbyes were brief as you and Griffin were rushed to catch your plane.
Graham honked the horn and you knew it was time to leave, you shoved your bags in the trunk and climbed into the back seat.
The airport was cold, and empty feeling although there were thousands of people rushing around to catch their planes. Griffin checked your bags and guided you to your gate so you would be sure not to miss the plane.
Your hands began to shake, you became nervous at the fact that you had to meet new people.
"Hey Griff?" You said leaning towards him
"Yeah?" He asked
"Could you show me all your friends and tell me their names so I kinda know who they are before we get there?" You ask
"Yeah for sure" griffin pulled out his phone and found an old Sway LA introduction photo, "alright so this is Jaden, Josh, Kio, Bryce, Anthony,Quinton, Noah, Blake and me duh, we have a couple other guys that show up and hang out sometimes but you'll get to know them too don't worry.
"Oh alright, still kinda confused but I think I got it" you said hesitantly
"Trust me they'll be nice to you" he said nudging your arm.
The plane was boarded and just like that you and Griffin were on your way to a new life together.
The plane lands and Griffin wakes you up to let you know that it was time to get off and meet the boys. You take a deep breath and try to gather your thoughts before exiting the plane, you're still very sad but you can't wait to get into the house, and lay down in a real bed. It's been a long day already.
Griffin noticed how tired you were so he wrapped his arm around you and walked you through the airport to the luggage return, you both grabbed your bags and headed outside. Griffin waved down a grey car, it pulled up on the curb and a tall blonde boy in a white hoodie stepped out of the car to help you with your bag.
"Hi I'm Quinton, you must be y/n" he said as he reached his hand out to shake yours
"Nice to meet you" you smiled sheepishly
Griffin hopped into the front seat of the car without another word, you followed and opened the back passenger door, you were greeted by a lanky boy in the drivers seat, he had long brown hair and you recognized him as 'luvanthony'
"Hi I'm Anthony, Griffin's told me a lot about you" he said as he turned to face you
You laughed and said "I hope it was all good stuff"
"Most of it" Anthony said as he winked at you
You smiled and Anthony turned back around to face the road.
The boys talked and caught up on what griffin had missed and they played some pretty good music, nothing like your amazing playlist but just radio jams.
"Hey guys I gotta get a picture for my story" Griffin said as he raised his phone into the air
Luckily you weren't in the photo but that was okay, you were trying to keep your life somewhat private, but you knew the second people figured out just who you were and that you were living in the sway house, that you're life would no longer be private at all.
