Chapter 26

It was the officer who told me about Brooklyn's death

"Hello miss leigh we would like for you to come down the police station to answer some questions" the officer said

"Can't we do it here" I asked

"Sure but we will need somewhere private and quite" he said

"Well we can do it in here" peter said

"I'm going to be back in a minute I'm just going to tell everyone downstairs not to worry and not to bother us" peter said

"Okay" I said and he walked out of the door

"So miss leigh-"

"Call me jade" I said

"Okay jade" he said and asked me a few questions about what had happened.

Peter came in and sat next to me.

"Are you going to go to the hospital" peter asked me

"Why would you need to the hospital" the officer asked

"To check the baby's still okay" peter said

"Your pregnant" he asked shocked

"Yes I am"

"How far along" he asked

"2 months" I said

"So do you know the gender" he asked

"Yes"

"What is it"

"A girl"

"Aww have you thought of any names" he asked

"No not really" I said looking at peter

"I thought we were going to be naming her Brooklyn after your sister" peter asked confused

"Well I didn't know if you wanted too" I said

"Of course I do its a gorgeous name and it means so much to you" he said

"Well yes we do then were naming her brooklyn" I said to the officer

"That's beautiful. Well I better get going now but we will call you if we have any news on Harry or your parents" the officer said.

"Okay thank you" I said walking him towards the front door

"Bye" he said

"Bye" peter said back as I smiled at him.

"Now to tell your family" I said looking at peters face.

"Yup" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me into the living room.

"Is everything okay" someone asked

"What happened" darcy asked

"I think you should explain" peter said

"Okay" I said and started explaining

"Oh my gosh are you okay" darcy said after I told her the story

"Yes I am now can I have my dang burger im starving" I said causing everyone to laugh.

"I'll get it" peter said and walked In to the kitchen to get my burger.

"Thanks" I said once peter gave me my burger

"No problem" he said and kissed my cheek

"Aww aren't you two just the cutest" darcy said

I laughed slightly embarrassed and peter just smiled at me

I finished my burger and took the plate into the kitchen and washed it up.

As I was drying my hands a woman walked into the room.

"I'm sorry about harry" she said

"Uhm... It's okay...?" I asked confused on who she is

"Oh sorry my names anne and I'm harrys mother I just wanted to say sorry for his behaviour i never thought in a million years that my son would treat a girl like that" she said

"It's okay whats done is done" I said trying to forget about it

"Well if there's anything I can do to help let me know" she said smiling at me.

"Okay" I said and walked into the living room.

I sat by peter and leaned my head on his shoulder feeling really tired.

He put his arm around me and carried on talking as He was in the middle of a conversation.

I started to drift off and fell asleep in seconds.

PETER'S P.O.V

I finished talking to my uncle and saw jade asleep on my shoulder

"I should probably take her to bed" I told my mom picking jade up and going to walk upstairs.

"What are you gonna do about the baby" mom asked

"What do you mean" I asked confused

"Are you gonna get her checked to make sure the baby is okay." She asked

"Uhm sure but it can't be tomorrow nick is taking me out to a football match" I told her

"Well do you want me to take her" mom asked

"If you would that would be great"

"Of course I will now get her and yourself to bed it's been a long day" she said

I started walking away until I heard

"By the way you did a good job choosing her shes so gorgeous and has an amazing personality" she said smiling at me

"Thanks mom" I said and walked up the stairs.

I placed jade in the bed and took of her jacket. I decided to not change her as she was wearing leggings and a tank top so it's not like she wouldn't be comfy.

I stripped down into my boxes and got in the bed. I wrapped my arms around her fragile body and fell asleep.
