CHAPTER 27: Engagement tactics

I was crying while entering Jean's house. I felt really hopeless, parang imposibleng mababangga namin si Gregory. I just came back from the police camp, I told them about Gregory and Veronica. I don't understand. They were the ones who taught us that hypnosis is possible and is existing yet they don't have the balls to help us, for the fucking reason na malaki at influential na tao ang babanggain. This system is just fucked up. How can't they help us with this? They didn't even bother investigating. I guess, we just have to do it ourselves.

I sat down sa sala and continued crying. I don't want to disappoint my friends and make them worry even more, knowing authorities are already jumping to conclusions that this is just foolishness and ridiculousness.

"Guys! Guys! You won't believe what I've read online." Jean shouted with a worried face and went directly towards me. Pumunta naman ka agad sina Vivian, Samantha and ate.

"Ano?" Sabi naman ni Samantha.

"Veronica and Gregory are engaged. Magpapakasal na sila and I received an invitation for their engagement party." sabi naman ni Jean, Vivian started crying.

"Guys, bad news din, hindi naniniwala ang pulisya regarding the hypnosis. Natatakot sila banggain si Greg." I admitted to them and Samantha already started crying from hearing the things I've said.

"What? They are supposed to serve justice!" Charres exclaimed angrily and stood up.

"Yes ate, even I was already shouting this issue to them but they just took it as a joke." I said and I continued crying.

We were still dumbfounded and very preoccupied from what's happening. Veronica's parents are very angry towards her. We couldn't admit it to her mom and dad just yet. Dahil mas lalong mangangamba sila.

"Let's just go on with the plan. Since sa bahay naman ni Greg gaganapin yung engagement party, I have a better idea." Jean said and composed herself, she closed her laptop and looked at us.

"Let's inform Veronica that we are sorry and that we respect and agree to her decisions." Jean said.

"I'm all ears, please continue" I said.

"Let's ask her to ask Greg na magsle-sleep over para makapag keep up or catch up from the things we left undiscussed, kuno." She added.

"That would work, I think that's a great idea. Dahil kapag hypnotized ang isang tao, parang dumadalawa ang anyo, the purpose of hypnosis is to simply make a tamed version of someone. So technically, we just have to be two faced bitches and lets go with the flow with bitchy Veronica" I said.

Jean opened her laptop and connected with Veronica. Though, matagal sumagot si Veronica.

"Hi veronica!!! Firstly, congratulations!!! Dahil ikakasal kana! And secondly, im sorry sa inasal namin the other day ha? Namiss kalang talaga namin, hays." Sabi naman ni Jean, shes definitely a good actress.

[I know right! I was shocked talaga from your reactions guys!!! Hays! By the way, bukas ha?? Engagement party ko na. Magiging isa na kami bi Gregory, can't wait] Veronica on the other line, said. Nasusuka ako.

"By the way, namiss ka talaga namin, gusto kapa namin makasama ng matagal bumalik ka na dito!" Sabi naman ni jean, keeping the acting up.

[I wish pwede kayo makapag sleep over dito. Hays] she said. Of course, fucking Gregory would never let us, shes too protective towards her 'properties'

"Omg!!! Thats a good idea!! How about ako kumausap ni Greg? Para payagan kami? How you like that?" Jean said cheerfully, we immediately diverted our attention towards her coz she's pulling a dangerous move. We were terrified that time.
