Tadaki had managed to catch up to Suga, hearing sobbing from just over the western style house's wood fence. He caught his breath stepping inside the yard keeping himself back so he wasn't interrupting. He ignored the sound of a car pulling up knowing it was the annoying cop's. Tadaki held back his growl when the alpha called out pushing the gate open out of breath. "Ha, old geezer." The young alpha snickered to himself, this gained him a temporary glare from the older alpha.
Daichi turned back to the two omega's embracing in front of the hanging laundry. He had bought the older woman a brand new washer and dryer but she insisted on doing things manually. She was easily exhausted this last year and her appetite wasn't what it used to be. Daichi worried for her health constantly he had hoped moving back to town and the slower country pace would help. It wasn't much help to his greatest fears but looking at her now in the fresh morning sun, the color in her cheeks and excitement of her scent, it was as if she was a little less worn down as if the sun had returned to a flower that had sat too long in the dark.
Suga and his mother sank to their knees holding each other, "I was so scared. I wanted to see you but I didn't know if you would want to see me." Suga sniffled, the young omega took in deep pulls of his mother's sweet scent.
"Of course I would want to see you my silly boy. You are my son, you will always be my own my only." She pulled away to cup his young face in her work worn hands. Their eyes meeting, tears spilling from them both, " I love you. I don't want to wake up from this dream. I never want to wake up. Are you really here? My Koushi! My sweet boy." She searched his face, sobbing through a smile only to pull him back into her with a bone crushing hug.
"Yes, mama it's me. I'm sorry-" Suga cried into her shoulder holding her tight as well, wishing the last few days were just a weird dream.
"Where have you been? Where did you go my Koushi? My sweet Ko." The older woman with the more prominent wrinkles around her eyes more apparent, as were the bags under her usually bright eyes, none of this mattered to Kouishi, all that mattered was her scent, the sound of heart against his on and those fingers combing through his hair.
"I was trying to get home." Suga sobbed. "I wanted to come home-"
"You are home now. I've got you and I'm not ever letting you go. " She squeezed Suga tighter holding him against her thin shoulder her face buried in the ash gray hair.
"Forgive me Koushi! Please, please forgive me." Warm tears soaked through to Suga's hair as she whispered frantically. "Even if you are a ghost, please forgive me."
"Momma? There's nothing to forgive. I love you." Koushi squeezed his own tearfilled eyes shut and held tight to the slender woman finally feeling truly anchored.
Daichi neared stepping with care closer to the two, "Daichi-kun! Look! Koushi! Koushi came home Daichi! My son is home. He came home to us." The woman looked up excitedly from where the two nelt.
Daichi nodded, swallowing, "Suga. It really is you then?" There as a tremble to his usually gruff voice.
"It's me. But I don't know you." Suga turned back into his mother's shoulder.
Tadaki took a step back, leaving the yard he glanced over his shoulder just as the cop sank to his knees wrapping his arms around both omegas. Suga's face was lost in his mother's embrace and now he was sandwiched between the dark haired alpha and frail looking older omega.
The young teen smiled sadly and left the group so they could privately figure things out. He headed home, suddenly wanting to be held by his own mother. He knew there was going to be a lot of questions so he slowed his pace a little and if he kicked a rock out of frustration all the way home then that was his business.
