The new batch of drugs from Zhang enterprise included the recently innovated drugs by Xu Nianyang. It made a huge splash in the market. This incident reversed the Zhang family's recent low-key strategy which they prepared for the alleged imprisonment controversy.

Xu Nianyang didn't change his surname to Zhang's since the time the Zhang family head raised this topic during the family gathering, the heir and all the important personage strongly opposed the matter. Of course, members connected through marriage to the Zhang family didn't have any say in this meeting.

Xu Nianyang just discussed the transaction with the family head but he never mentioned the matter of changing the surname, so this matter got resolved on its own.

He was a descendant of the Zhang family, even though just an illegitimate child he could still take part in the inheritance. So, he was like sand in the eyes of the heirs.

The Zhang family head was biased towards the next in line descendants since Xu Nianyang didn't get any substantive education like them. When they premeditated against Xu Nianyang and troubles arose, the family head lightly chided the heirs and didn't heed these small matters to his mind.

Xu Nianyang would come to City K every weekend. There was one time when Xu Nianyang was secretly calculated by the heirs so he had to drive for three hours with only one arm while the other was wrapped in plaster.

Xu's father was now 50 years old and he was very busy among his peers in the unit. He was beguiled by others for the money that he had just received from Zhang's family as he had no great skill and experience in business. However, it was not long before he lost all the invested money and he didn't even know whether he had been deceived or it was his business that fizzled out.

Because of this matter, the Xu family almost lost all their fortunes at once.

Xu's mother was still waiting to pay for all types of high-end clothes. Xu Chaoyang made new drug addict friends thus he himself got addicted to drugs.

The family had not even lived for a year and were helpless to sell the newly bought house. Then the Xu family recalled Xu Nianyang. They thought Xu Nianyang was in the Zhang family now so they could easily ask him for money. Xu Nianyang also shouldn't have any problem with this as he should help them solve their problems.

Xu Nianyang began to give them 80 percent of the money that he received per month from the Zhang family.

Xu's father had a young mistress outside. He had gone to live with her and spent every day drinking and playing mahjong. Xu's mother was shopping with her new friends and playing mahjong every day. When the Xu parents were enjoying themselves, Xu Chaoyang was also enjoying himself by taking drugs while eating, drinking and playing.

The Xu family was like an exotic flower among their acquaintances and neighbours in the community. They were gossiping that it was because of blessings accumulated from their ancestors that the Xu family could adopt Xu Nianyang and thus they are now living in riches.

Mrs. Fang put the last dish on the table before taking off the apron and hanging it aside. She drew a tissue paper from the table and strode towards the living room while wiping off the water on her hands and asking, "Is Nianyang coming?"

Qing Ruo was holding the remote control to adjust the TV as she sat in the living room. She put the remote control down and looked at the wall clock ahead before saying, "He is almost here. He last called at about 12 and said that he was on the tollbooth."

Qing Ruo was in the second year of high school so she would have to attend classes even on Saturdays. There was only one weekend to have a complete rest in the whole month.

It was the only available Saturday of the month and Qing Ruo's parents were also at home. On that day, Mrs. Fang cooked by herself and didn't ask the aunt for help. Xu Nianyang was coming to City K, doing a long drive. So they waited for him to come and have dinner directly.

Mrs Fang frowned as she came to sit beside Qing Ruo before pulling her sweater-jacket. She said in a distressed tone, "I'm afraid he would meet that family at the door again." Then she looked at Qing Ruo's father before saying, "You go downstairs to have a look at the door of the community."

As long as the Xu family had money, they wouldn't come to see Xu Nianyang. But whenever they are in lack of money, they would come to the gate of the community of Qing Ruo's house during the weekends to wait for Xu Nianyang to come. This situation was repeated many times.

Qingruo's father frowned and nodded thoughtfully before getting up from the sofa. When the door closed, her mother sighed before taking Qing Ruo's hand. Qing Ruo was bewildered as she asked, "Mom, what's the matter?"

Mrs. Fang was a little distressed as she looked at her insensitive and thoughtless daughter, "Xiaoruo, you can see that Nianyang is just too honest and sincere."

Qing Ruo's mouth twitched as she waited for her mother to continue.

Mrs. Fang was very worried, she was fed up by the annoying parasite of the Xu family, "Xu's family would be so troublesome to deal with in the future. Nianyang can't support them all his life, and Xu Chaoyang is still taking drugs which is even more frightening."

Qing Ruo pacified her mother by patting her mother's hand while applauding in her heart, "It's ok mom, you don't worry about it."

Her mother thought, 'How could I not fret?'

Since Qing Ruo had started her Junior high school, every time the teacher held a parent meeting, her mother and father were embarrassed to even raise their heads to look up when it comes to the topic of puppy love.

Qing Ruo and Xu Nianyang, unlike puppy love, were completely in a state of after marriage. Looking at their state, no one can disagree with the fact that there is no possibility of separation between the two in their lifetime. Besides, Xu Nianyang is so good in everything, especially so for Qing Ruo.

She was not muddle-headed to separate the two from each other.

'It's just that the Xu family is really disgusting.'

Mrs. Fang still wanted to continue but the sound of opening the main door ceased the topic there.
