Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Or, that's what he told himself at least.

May Parker, an older woman with a head of thinning red hair and a bright smile, laughed at her young nephew's expression as he looked down at the dark waters. Peter gulped and looked back at his aunts reassuring expression that did little to quell the raging sense of doom in the back of her mind.

"Sit back and relax Peter. We will be back on the mainland soon enough." She chuckled.

"I-I know, it's just... It's so much WATER." The teen replied, looking up at her with fearful brown eyes.

"I know you don't like deep water. Not to worry. I hear old people float."

"You're not old." Peter managed to crack a smile.

He appreciated that she was trying to cheer him up and make him feel better, even though she was probably freaking out a little on the inside as well. Benefits of them both having a fear of deep water.

They were on their way to Liberty Island for a tour since May had just gotten a raise and they had never been to the island. They made a deal that they would both try to get over their fears and to always lean on each other when things get rough. Peter loved his aunt more than anything, especially since he owed her the world.

The trip was going well and Peter finally had the courage to get up and wander around a bit. He stood up and stretched his arms above his head, popping his shoulders.

"I think I'm gonna look around a bit. Is that okay?" He asked May, a little hesitant to leave her on her own.

"I'll be fine. You go on ahead and have fun. I will be here watching out for whales." She giggled like a creep as he pulled out a camera.

"By whales, you mean taking pictures of the lense cap."

She gasped and held a hand over her heart in mock hurt. "You offend me, dearest Peter. Have you no faith in this innocent, feeble old woman?"

"Innocent? Yes. Feeble? Not so much." He smirked.

"Fair enough. Now skedaddle! Go explore and take some pictures while you're at it." She shooed Him away.

Peter giggled and walked down the spiral staircase to where all of the cars were parked. Sure, he was having fun, but he needed a little time alone while staying as far away from the water as possible.

While he was walking, he spotted a suspicious looking man in a hood using a metal wire to unlock a car, obviously not his. Peter cursed himself for not bringing his suit with him and silently walked over and stood behind him. The man caught Peter's reflection in the window and tried to take a swing at him, but missed.

Peter ducked and kicked the man's feet from under him. He landed on the ground, the air being knocked out of his lungs. He tried to stand up again, but Peter put her foot on his chest, keeping him there.

"It's not very nice to steal, you know?"

The man raised his shaking hands in the air, terrified. "P-please. I h-had to do it."

He gave him a confused look. "Do what?" He tried to wiggle away from him. "You know, it's not nice to keep secrets."

The man started sniveling and when he saw something behind Peter, his face went pale. He glanced over his shoulder and saw another man with a similar hoodie running away. Before He could run after him, a car on the end of the fairy exploded.

Peter dropped to the ground next to his prisoner, shoving him under the car for cover. He waited a moment and when nothing else exploded, he sighed in relief. A security guard on the fairy came running down to the car lot, his gun raised.
