NOTE: This is a Jay x Gil. This one isn't really fluffy or anything like that. It's more like the story of one of their adventures and a small confession towards the end. Enjoy.

They had been planning this for months. Jay was very excited for a few reasons.

One - he was going on an adventure
Two - he was going with his crush ever since they first met (Gil)
Three - it would be just the two of them

Jay was giddy with excitement. He couldn't wait to go on the trip as well as use his photography skills. He was going to enjoy this.

Meanwhile Gil was freaking out. He was going on a 2 month long trip with his crush since he was a kid (Jay) and they would be alone. Some people would say he was fine.

Yeah. That was it. He was fine. Who was he trying to convince? He wasn't okay one bit. Gil was a wreck. He had barely controlled his urges to take him when they were saving Auradon. How would he survive? Gil had no clue.

He only hoped he could exercise enough control to last 2 months. Gil could only ever hope that he was enough. Jay went to pick Gil up from his room. It was 5 am, but if they wanted to start it was better to start earlier.

They headed outside, each inside their own head, battling with an army of thoughts, struggling with a whirlwind of urges.

No words were passed between the two as they started on their journey. The silence wasn't heavy or uncomfortable. Quite the opposite. It was relaxing and enjoyable. Neither wanted to break the silence and neither of them needed to.

It made Jay feel safe, like he could relax, not constantly worry about his back and like he could be himself. Gil also felt safe, he felt like he could be himself, like he mattered, like Jay wouldn't judge him for being different.

Both were content to not speak. After a few days however, the silence was getting to Gil. He was barely containing his urges to jump onto Jay during the day, let alone when he was sleepy. They were camping out in the middle of a forest when it happened.

The sun was setting on the horizon as they stopped in the jungle to rest for the night. Jay was getting sleepy and he wanted nothing more than to collapse onto a soft bed. On the other hand, it was taking all of Gil's self control not to give in to his urges.

After a few short moments however, he couldn't resist anymore. They had finished setting up the tent and were settling down to sleep. Without thinking Gil leaned over Jay, confidence raging through his veins.

Jay was startled by the other boy's actions. Especially when Gil leaned down and captured Jay's lips. The kiss was soft and sweet. Gil's confidence fell away from him and he panicked. He sat up quickly and ran out of the tent.

Jay followed behind him just as fast when he realised it was raining. He found Gil sat on a rock, back facing Jay as he approached. Jay turned around and flew back to the tent. He picked up his camera.

He came up silently behind Gil and checked the settings. Perfect. As the last rays of light were disappearing Jay took the photo. It was stunning. He put the camera back and then walked up to Gil. Making sure Gil heard him approach.

When Jay reached Gil they turned to face each other. Gil's tear stained face looked up at Jay's perfectly clear one. Jay felt his heart breaking when he saw that expression on Gil's face. He didn't know why, but he had to get rid of that look somehow.

Jay reached over, took Gil's face in his hands and pulled it closer to his. Jay connected their lips again. This one was different, they both felt it. Each of them pouring their unsaid feelings into the simple action.

They broke apart, coming back together in another bruising one when they'd caught their breath. The make out session heated up as the two boys found love in each other. It was perfect.
