Jay's been stealing again. He knows he shouldn't, he promised he wouldn't. But he has to put flowers on Jafar's grave somehow.

Jay's father wasn't the best, but Jafar didn't do anything too bad to him, so he could forgive the few times it had gotten out of control.

So Jay keeps stealing the flowers from Gil's garden. Today, however, Jay wasn't as careful as normal. Gil managed to follow him.

The boy was hoping to see if 'the thief was pretty enough to warrent flower theft'. Gil had decided to follow Jay to wherever his destination was.

Gil had also grabbed flowers to put on his father's grave. He waited until Jay was out of sight before walking towards his father's grave.

Turns out Jay was at the grave next to Gil. Gaston was buried next to Jafar. Jay put the flowers down and wandered off.

Gil placed his flowers down and sat at the headstone for Gaston. He did this everyday, he sat at his father's headstone and talked to him about what was going on.

Now more than ever before, Gil needed his father's guidance. He didn't know what to do. He'd caught the thief, but didn't want to make Jay angry or sad.

Gil spoke to his dad, asking for his help, hoping for his care. Gil needed the kind of support that only a dad could give.

Just before he left, he kissed the headstone and went back home. A wind gently blew past him, carrying pink cherry blossoms.

Gaston's favourite flower.

Gil smiled a bit, his father had heard him. He smiled all the way back home. He wouldn't do anything. He wouldn't get in the way of Jay.

He began to leave out a bouquet of flowers on the wall just for the thief. Now Jay wouldn't have to sneak into his garden anymore.
