Chapter 52

When we all woke up the next morning, well atleast when I did, everyone was on their phones. Charli was filming a tiktok, jaden and josh doing research to find the other guy, and the others just chilling.

"M-morning.." I said while sitting up. Charli laughed and said "good afternoon Louise! It's like 1:30." My eyes went wide as I sat straight up. I don't know why though. It's not like I can even do anything. I remembered I did have to take my pill though, so I started to get up.

"Nope, I will get it." Josh said while making me sit back down. I smiled and let him go get it.. mostly because I couldn't really move. When he cane back, I took the pill like I did yesterday. Nothing special.

"You guys know you can go out and do something right? You don't need to watch me do absolutely nothing." I said as I looked around the room. Jaden just laughed. "Nik, we are all staying here until you can come home. Plus, we get to hang with Baxter so it's all good."

I laughed and said "ok but seriously, nothing really exciting is gonna go on. The most exciting thing that could possibly happen today is you guys finding the other guy." Before anyone said anything, an alert went off in my phone, like an emergency one from the state..

"Emergency: if anyone has seen an older man aged around 50, please contact police immediately! Last seen roaming around Main Street in the country high school district! He is believed to be involved on an attack on a local teenage girl."

Main Street. That's my block.. like where my fucking house is. I stared at my phone mostly with fear, which caused the others to look over at me. "Princess.. what's wrong..?" Josh said while looked down to me. I didn't respond. I dropped my phone and just dug my face into joshs chest.

I felt his arms, well arm, wrap around me and him probably using the other to check my phone. He read the alert I'm guessing because a few seconds later the grip got tighter with two arms this time. Josh passed the phone around the room so everyone could read it.

My bedroom door swung open which scared the fucking shit out of me because of the alert I got. "What's going on and why is there crying?!" I heard my brothers ask as the came into the room. I looked up and saw Jaden handing tayler my phone while Bryce peeked over his shoulder and read it.

Taylers face went from concerned, to confused, to angry. "Fucking asshole.. you all stay here I will be back." Tayler said while leaving the room. I knew what he wants to do.. stories Jaden didn't do it first actually. "Tayler n-no! Come back!" I said while trying to get up.

Josh held onto me and said "Nik.. let him. If anything he should be the one to handle this one. None of us are letting anything else happen to you alright." I nodded and just melted into joshs arms. Bryce was standing in the room still, shocked because of the whole thing that just happened.

"Well uh.. now what?" Bryce said while sitting on the edge of my bed. "C-can we just um.. w-watch a movie..?" I asked while wiping my eyes. Everyone nodded and we turned the tv on to watch a movie.

We would've gone to the living room to watch it, but just Incase the guy comes into the house, it's safer up here.

We all decided to just watch let it shine on Disney plus because... actually, I don't know why. A few of us were on my bed. I was on joshs lap, next to us was Charli on Jaden lap, Avani on dixies, then the other three just kinds sat around the room since my bed wasn't that big for everyone.

We all waited for tayler to come back, hopefully with good news. That's all I could think about right now.. but I have to admit, the movie is helping me get my mind off of everything a little bit
