Chapter 3

It's finally the morning. Big day today! First day of college classes and football practice. Kinda nervous about football not gonna lie. Oh well, hopefully we can just all get along enough that we don't hate eachother. "Charli get up!" I said while shaking her. She loved to sleep in like I do but we both know we can't do that today.

"I'm up.." she said as she was slowly getting up. While she was waking up I went into the bathroom and changed into my clothes for today. I wanted to look like less of a teenage kid, if you know what I mean.

I put my hair in a ponytail and went back into the room to wait for Charli. Once she finished getting ready we both left for class. Luckily we had the same teachers all day so we wouldn't be alone.

When we got to the school it was huge. Me and Charli had came for a tour over the summer but it was a lot to remember. When we found our class we sat towards the back and waited for everyone else to come. So far it was us and some other kids. The bell rang a minute or two later and everyone came.

"Good morning everyone, I'm your professor but just call me Mr Daniels. If you are in this class and your doing football, just refer to me as coach. I believe this class has our star Nicole?" My eyes went wide and is hesitantly said "y-yeah.. I'm here." Mr Daniels said "oh well hello Nicole." I smiled a little and said hi back and just took out my laptop to do my work.

In class we went over a bunch of things like the school rules and just regular class materials. The day went by pretty quickly actually. A couple of boys either gave me the look or just straight up stared at me. That was uncomfortable. But now it's time for practice. I made my way to the locker room and got changed. I put my hair in a low ponytail and put on my practice stuff, and made my way to the field.

When I got there it was kinda awkward. It was just me standing by a bunch of boys who just looked at me. Not sure who they are but some looked familiar. Maybe tiktok or something, not too sure.

"What's up new girl." One if they boys said while laughing. Ugh don't tell me, this team is not going to like me. "Nothing much tall boy."  The kid laughed and said "your cool, I'm sam. You've probably been crushing on me from tiktok right?" That's where I've seen him before. "Nope, I have a boyfriend. And I've only seen you on my page like once. If anything your crushing on me." Sam just laughed and said "oh right, your dating little Richards." I nodded and said "yeah? So?" Sam said "well I know him, we are friends." I just nodded, I wasn't gonna believe him till I heard it from josh.

Coach Daniels cane out to the team and said "ok! All of you boys, and Nicole, this is college football, welcome. The competition is rough and everyone plays hard. I have our game schedule here so everyone take a copy at the end of practice. Now go and practice alright!" Everyone nodded and we all began.

Not gonna lie, everyone played rough.. but so did I. The way coach describes the competition, I have to play like I did when Jackson was here. Speaking of, I wonder where he went off to school.. hopefully no where near here.  After about two hours practice ended. I grabbed the sheet with the game schedule coach gave to us and went to the locker room. I looked through it and noticed that we have a game against joshs school. I can't wait!

Once I finished getting changed I left the locker room and walked back to the dorm. I walked into the room and saw Charli fast asleep in bed. Cheer must've tired her out.

I set my books down on my desk and went and took a shower because practice was a lot of work today that I wasn't used to. To shower felt nice, the hot water against my cold self. When I finished I dried off and changed into some comfy clothes and went to my desk and started homework. Yes, I have homework.

It took me an hour to finish it all, not that bad. I hung up the game schedule on the cork board in the room and highlighted the game that we play josh, thats next week. I know they're gonna go rough on me because they're not allowed to help me in any way. I just wanna see how this turns out. I snapped a picture of the schedule and sent it to my brothers because they loved to watch my games.. but they're gonna have to watch them on tv because traveling to all of them is a lot of work.. especially if they're in school or work.

I put away all of my books from before when I was doing homework and got a message. I opened my phone and saw it was from josh.

Joshy🥰
Joshy🥰: see you next week princess
Nicole: I can't wait! Also, don't be shy and play soft. Treat me like you would treat someone when we played against them.
Joshy🥰: I don't want to hurt you though 😕
Nicole: oh come on baby, I can get over it. Tell the boys I said hi too. I can't wait to see them.
Joshy🥰: ok princess. Also I hear you met sam? Be careful around him please.. if you go to a party for whatever reason and he's there, don't go near him because he will make you cheat on me.
Nicole: trust me josh, I'm not going to parties. I only did that in highschool and that never turned out Benny good in the end. I love you and only you ❤️
Joshy🥰: I love you too.
Nicole: ok goodnight baby I'm tired
Joshy🥰: goodnight from me and the boys.

I laughed at the message josh sent. I shut off my phone and plugged it into the charger and laid down in bed. I wonder what josh is talking about with sam.. I thought they were friends. Whatever, I will figure it out eventually.
