Chapter 57

"O-our house.." I said while looking around our now completely ruined entryway. The windows that used to give us the best views of the area, shattered.

Our flat screen in the living room, gone. The couch cushions, all ripped up and thrown everywhere. I looked around the main area and everything was trashed. All of our expensive things were gone.

That's when I remembered my money. You see, when I first moved here, my brothers gave me an envelope full of money to help me get some sort of start. It was about maybe 1-2 thousand. If that's gone.. I dont know what I'd do if it's gone.

I dropped my bag and ran to my bedroom to go look. Footsteps followed me as I ran. "Nik what's wrong?" Charli said as she followed with the others.

"M-my money.. From my brothers." I said as I continued. I ran to my bedroom door, opened it, saw someone, then blacked out.. falling to the ground.

~Charlis pov~
Well, no one else followed Nicole to her room, probably to just give her space.. and because I told them to stay back. I tried asking her what's wrong but all she said was something about her brothers money.

I think it's the money that Tayler gave her before we moved here. I don't know why it's so important though.. she's one of the most popular social media influencers. Everyone in this house is.

I saw her run into her room, then a metal bang sound, then a body drop. I ran faster to her room and saw her laying there, then another person. I couldn't see who it was, they were wearing a mask.

I screamed for the boys, but then felt a hard hit on my head, then it went black.

~joshs pov~
Charli told us to stay back when Nik ran into her room. Probably a girl thing.. I don't know. Me and the boys went and cleaned up the mess while we waited.

"HELP!"

"Did you guys hear that?" Anthony said while slowly standing up. We all nodded and Jaden said "that was Charli.. come on!" Jaden ran towards Nicole's bedroom and we all followed.

We stood in the doorway to see Nicole and Charli knocked out on top of eachother, and a man in a mask. "WHAT THE FUCK! GET OUT!" Jaden said yelling at the guy. 

Next thing I know, Jaden is running at him. I ran at him too and I helped tackle him to the ground. Once he was fully down, I stepped away and went to the two girls. Dixie helped me by getting Charli up, while I lifted Nik. We couldn't go to the living room, or Nicole's room, so we just went to the guest house.

I set down Nicole on one of the couches in there while Dixie our Charli on the other. The doors opened to the guest house and griffin came in with two bags of ice. I took one and put it on Nicole's head and one in charlis.

Almost instantly, Nicole shot up breathing heavily and said "w-what happened." I pulled her into a hug and said "Robert was still here in your room. Jaden, Avani, and Anthony are dealing with him." She nodded and then noticed Charli still knocked out.

"Char.. WHAT HAPPENED TO CHARLI?!" She said while trying to get up. I held onto her and said "Charli will be ok. You need to relax." She nodded and I took my phone out to call tayler, he'd be mad if I didn't.

T- hey josh, make it home safe?
J- yeah.. about that.
T-what happened.
J- we got home like 15 minutes ago.. we got robbed and the robber is still here. Nicole ran into her room and apparently the robber was there and knocked her out, then Charli. Jaden is probably almost at the killing point beating him up.
T- WHAT?! Are they ok?!
J- Nik just woke up, she's ok. Charli we are still waiting on.
T- ok look, keep them both safe, Dixie too. Call me if anything else happens.
J- ok talk to you later , bye
T- bye.

I hung up the phone and looked over to see Jaden and the others running in. Jaden was bruised a bit, nothing bad. He ran to charlis side, sitting next to her holding her hand.

"Jay.. where's the guy?" Nicole asked while sitting up a bit more. Jaden looked over and said "cops just got him. It was the old owner. Apparently he got evicted for not paying rent 3 months in a row and wanted to come back. His idea was to trash the place and blame us."

I rolled my eyes and said "people are idiots. Now, I think it may be safer if we just hangout in here tonight.. just Incase." Everyone agreed so we all sat around hanging out and waiting for Charli to wake up.

Jaden was a nervous wreck. He was trying not to show it.. but after being his bestfriend since elementary school, I know when he's happy, sad, or nervous. I can also see the anger flowing in his body. It's usually bad when it's Nicole being hurt, but Charli too.. he's ready to murder.

Maybe I could be more like him.. I'm not really the fighting type.. only when it's necessary. Necessary as in protecting myself, Nicole, my sister, and my friends. I used to be like Jaden actually.. some jerk broke my sisters heart a year or two ago and left her broken. I found the kid and beat him up.

Probably not the best idea, considering I was maybe 16 at the time and this kid was 13. But hey, he messed with the wrong girls feelings.

I know if I ever get back into that, I couldn't possibly stop. I was always getting into fights, getting detention, and just getting myself into plain old trouble. That's why in do football. I let out my anger and have fun.

We all stayed in the guest house and waited for the best. Charli still hasn't woken up after an hour or two. We considered bringing her to the hospital.. but Nicole and Dixie explained how much Charli hates it there. We decided to just get some rest and hope she's awake tomorrow.
