Meanwhile...
The group walked along the side of a river. It's waves washed in and out amongst the sandy floor.
Gust's spiderlings carried Soul Train behind them.
🥁"Ninety-nine bottles of punch on the wall."🥁
Ox voice broke as he huffed and puffed.
🥁"Ninety-nine bottles of punch."🥁
Kar face was drenched in sweat. Her facial expressions changed from frustration to guilt.
🥁"Take one down, pass it around."🥁
Ox tried to gather up his thoughts.
"Errr- What comes after ninety-nine?"
"Ninety-eight."
Ram said.
🥁"Ninety-eight bottles of punch on the wall."🥁
"So, uhm. Out of curiosity."
Kar glanced at Gust.
"Where are we going exactly?"
"You really don't know?"
Gust closed two of his eyes.
"If I'm correct, you two aren't from here."
Ox and Kar both frowned.
"Didn't we say that from the start."
Ram points at Gust.
"He doesn't remember stuff well."
"Makes sense why he's leading the way."
Kar says sarcastically.
"Wait. I'm leading the way?"
The spider focused all eight eyes on her.
"I just- You were already ahead of us..."
His look made shivers go down her spine.
"Yay!"
Gust happily cheered.
🕸"I get to be a leader! I get to be a path finder!"🕸
"Or a path 'spider'."
Lil' Puma grinned a little.
"Get it? Because, you're a spider?"
"No. I actually don't get it."
Gust squinted.
"Is it supposed to be humorous?"
"Well, sorta..."
"Y'know Puma."
Ox looked down at him.
"You kinda remind me of my best pal, Asmic. In the poorly planned humor way."
"Asmic?"
His whiskers twitched.
"Who is he?"
"That's right. You haven't existed for a long time."
"Is he someone I met?"
Lil' Puma said.
"Did he ever meet me?"
"Yes! And no!"
Ox placed a finger under his chin.
"Actually, I'm not so sure."
"Oh. Well, if I'm allowed to ask this, but was he a romance type of person."
"More like a man of his lover."
"And what makes you say that?"
Kar asked.
"He's always right next to Jandel!"
Ox complained.
"I never liked her..."
"Oh jeez."
She laughed.
"Looks like someone his jealous!"
"I am not."
He grumbled.
"She took every inch of fun away from him."
Kar turned to Lil' Puma.
"Don't mind this guy. Ox is still trying to get used to being alone."
"And so the lonely becomes ditched."
Lil' Puma said.
"I kinda respect that."
Ram nudged him.
"You actually don't."
They came to a hault infront of a giant sink hole.
"This is new."
Ram looked down into the abyss.
"Or very old."
"By the looks of it, this isn't natural."
Ox shrugged.
"Yet I'm not that positive."
"Positive or not, I'm not jumping down there."
Puma inched back.
"Who ever said that you have to?"
Ram asked.
Gust motioned for the Spiderlings to follow him... somewhere.
"Lil' Puma, I have a question."
"What is it?"
"Can everyone fly?"
"No."
Lil' Puma had suspicion of him.
"Why?"
Gust shoves everyone down the hole. He'd turn around and waved at his children.
"Meet you down there!"
Then down he went.
The spiderlings moved foward and plunged in after them.
Kar flipped and turned midair.
Ox tried to grab onto any roots sticking out of the soil.
Ram latched onto Lil' Puma and started screaming in his ear.
"Let's make ourselves at home."
Gust pulled out a cup of tea.
"Tea anyone?"
"SCREW YOUR TEA BRO!!!"
Ox yelled.
"No? How about coffee?"
He took out a coffee mug.
"I don't have any coffee on me right now though."
"I- *Gag* -don't do caffeine while falling from atleast twevle hundred feet."
Kar's face turned a pale green.
Soul Train kept spinning around in a circular motion. Now and then it'll create soft dinging noises as the bell chimes within it.
"WE'RE GOING TO DIE!!!"
Ram screamed.
Lil' Puma struggles to keep his balance.
"No. There's a twenty percent chance that we'll injure ourselves really bad."
Gust chittered.
"You..."
Ox glared at him.
"You are the one who put us in this hole!"
"I was helping you."
Gust raised his hands.
"DON'T SHOVE US DOWN A HOLE IF YOU WANT TO HELP!"
As they fell throughout the air, lights flashed below them in a pattern.
Green.
Red.
Yellow.
And back to green.
