August 11, 2020 - Tuesday
"Daddy!"
I hugged my dad just when he's about to enter the door.
"Hi baby!" He lifted me up and kissed my cheeks. I giggled. "You're growing so fast, anak."
I smiled widely. "Really?! Does that mean I can go to school na? I want school, daddy!"
He chuckled. "Not so fast baby, you're just six. Maybe next year as a grade one. Home school for now as a Kinder 2, alright?"
I pouted. "I want school daddy." I sniffed, now crying. "No friends here!"
"Awww. Don't worry baby, I promise you can go to school next year. For now, shall I give you your favorite dessert?"
My eyes widened. I wiped my tears. "You got me crinkles?!"
"Of course!" He put me down and held my small hand. "Don't tell mommy though, she'll get mad." He said pointing at his mouth.
I nodded many times and smiled widely, showing two front teeth missing.
"Mommy? Why are you crying?"
She turned her back on me and started wiping her eyes. "It's nothing, anak. I'm just happy because it's your 7th birthday today!"
"Don't cry mommy, birthdays are happy right?" I asked innocently.
She nodded and covered her mouth to stifle a sob. "Y-yes, anak." She hugged me for a moment then faced me while smiling. "You look like a really beautiful princess, Farrah."
I smiled. "Really, mom?"
She nodded then forced a smile. "Let's go? Your visitors are waiting for you."
"But daddy's not yet here."
"Daddy will come a bit late," Her voice cracked. "He said we should start and he'll just follow."
"Baka nakakalimutan mo kung anong ginawa mo sa mismong birthday ng anak mo, Romeo!"
"Are we seriously having this conversation right now, Celestine?"
I sniffed upon hearing my parents' voices. They're shouting again at each other. It's been like this since my 7th birthday. I wished I didn't celebrate it at all.
"Why, are you ashamed now of what you've done, huh? Are you finally realizing that you're ruining this family?!"
I flinched when I heared something broke. I planked on my bed and covered my head with my pillow, trying to block their voices.
More crashing sounds follow. My mom kept on shouting while crying. The pillow didn't help at all.
I tried to stand up to get to door. I was about to lock it to make sure no one gets to come in when I heared dad's voice boomed after all the crashing of things.
"Do you really think this family would happen if not for your hideous doings, Celestine?!"
"D-dad?" I whispered, my eyes wide and red from the tears that keep on falling.
Daddy looked at me with shock. He instantly came to me and hugged me while I tried to push him away, continuously punching him using my small hands.
"I-i hate you daddy... I hate you..." I cried.
"I-i'm sorry anak. I... I'm really sorry..."
