August 3, 2020 - Monday
"Farrah..."
"Hmmm," I removed the hand that was shaking me a bit and turned my back on whoever is waking me up.
I felt the light nudge again. My forehead creased. "Leave me alone," I said, annoyed.
The door opened and closed. Finally, some peace!
"BANGON NA! TANGHALI NA!" A loud noise of some steel boomed in the whole room.
I jumped from the cheap mattress, a bit disoriented. "What the hell?!" My eyes widened because of too much shock.
Sinamaan ko ng tingin si Fade. Masama rin ang tingin niya sakin.
"The heck is your problem?!" I shrieked. God, what was that he's holding?
"Kaldero at siyansi," He explained boredly. What, did I say that out loud? "At Lunes na ngayon, wala kang balak pumasok?"
Inirapan ko siya. I sat down and looked for the cheap mirror at the side of the pillow. "Bakit anong oras na ba, 10:00 am pa ang class ko." I finally found the mirror that I got for just 10 pesos. My gosh! 10 pesos! My Gucci mirror can't relate!
"Anong 10:30, alas syete ang unang klase mo 'pag Monday. Kanina pa nga naka alis si Grasya." Kunot-noo niyang tanong.
"Geez," I looked at the mirror to check my face. Such beaut! "What would you know, it's MY class. Of course I know better." Maarte kong sabi.
Duh. Ni hindi kami magka klase. Malay ba niya kung may ibang reason why Grasya went to school this early, porke ba magkaklase kami ng pinsan niya kailangan sabay na?
"Oh talaga?" He threw a piece of paper that he got on top of the cheap drawer. "Basahin mo nga 'yang nakalagay dyan." Kunot-noo niyang sabi habang dinuduro duro pa yung paper with the cooking utensil. This guy, really.
I rolled my eyes again and scanned the paper. It's my sched. Mayabang ko siyang sinulyapan. "O there oh! Monday, Business Comm: 7:00 a-" My eyes widened.
I looked at it again and traced an unimaginary line from the subject column to where the time is indicated, "shit why didn't you wake me up earlier!"
"Ayun dali!"
My eyes widened when Fade suddenly held my hand and dragged me into the swarm of people trying to get inside the freaking jeepney.
"H-hey, my hand!" I tried moving my hand away but he just gave me an irritated look before letting go of it. Naunahan kaming maka sakay kaya gumilid nalang.
"'Wag ka munang umarte kung gusto mo pang maka attend ng second class. Kita mo 'yang mga 'yan," he pointed at the other people waiting with us, "lahat 'yan nagmamadaling makasakay sa jeep at 'pag hindi ka dumiskarte, hindi ka talaga makakasakay."
I pouted. "Are there no taxis here?"
He glared at me. "You don't even have the money to ride a taxi kung meron man."
"I hate you."
Napailing siya. "As if I don't."
Napapadyak ako. "You're so annoying!"
"Look who's talking," he said in a really bored voice. Muli niya akong hinawakan sa kamay nang makita ang paparating na jeep. I swallowed hard because I am trying really hard to keep myself from withdrawing my hand dahil sa kuryenteng nararamdaman ko mula sa kamay niya. It's weird and something I've never felt before. "Tara na."
I just nodded and let myself get dragged by him.
"Farrah!"
I glared at Grasya who smiled nervously. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at saka namewang. "Why didn't you wake me up?" Naiinis kong tanong.
