Chapter 7

As he placed his lips on mine I felt fireworks. I felt waves of emotion and more crash into me like a tsunami. The kiss sent me in shock but after a moment... I kissed back. My mind was now the one that was completely boggled. I didn't care that I'm Abnegation and we don't do -or aren't supposed to do- this type of thing. I don't care that we're in different factions. All I care about is the fact that... Even though it's crazy.... He came all this way. He tracked me down - a bit stalkerish but that part doesn't matter. And now he's kissing me and I'm kissing him back. I wrap my arms around his neck as he puts his hands at the small of my back to pull me against him. No one has ever done this to me... Left this feeling.... He deepens the kiss just slightly for me to adjust to the shock. Wait! No. BEATRICE! Come to your senses! You could get caught! What're you doing?! My conscience sneers at me and i pout mentally. But I like kissing Four.... Too bad! I groan and huff mentally. I slide my hands back to his chest and push away from him gently.... Leaving my lips on his for as long as possible. My wanting and desire to continue obvious, as is his when he tries to move his lips to my jaw line and I move out of the way. He bites his lip and his eyes search mind "I'm not gonna say I'm sorry because I'm not." He whispers. I nod "Neither am I..." I have no idea what persuaded me to admit that but I did. A small smile plays at his lips and he takes my hand in his and brings it to his lips and kisses softly. I bite my lip hard as his eyes never leave mine. "So... You came back because of a kiss... And now you got one..." I say sadly only now the idea and most likely the truth comes to mind. He used me to get another kiss. He thinks I'm easy because I'm a stiff. He narrows his eyes almost reading my mind and says "Do you think i just came here to use you to get another kiss?" I nod slightly apologetically. Why am I doing that? He's the one that did this! "Well I'm not." He says surely. Okay I stand corrected. "Bea... Look it's crazy but I haven't felt like this with anyone else... Come on you can't tell me you don't feel it too.... The connection... Pulling us closer... And closer..." As he whispers those last few words he steps towards me until he's pressed to me and I to him. "Look me in the eyes and tell me truthfully. If you don't feel anything then I'll leave out that door and you'll never have to see me again." He searches my eyes intent on finding my answer. My true answer. "What's it gonna be?" He asks nervously. "I..." I search his eyes. Oh god am I gonna stop surprising myself today? "I do...." I whisper as I search his eyes in return. A smile plays at his lips once more and he leans down but to my surprise only kisses my cheek "Thank you." He whispers in my ear. I nod slightly and bite my lip. He looks to small square window and notices the sun setting as I do. "Oh no..." I whisper in realization "What is it?" He looks to me concerned. "My parents. They're coming over to see my home tonight... They should be here soon..." Four bites his lip "Damn it. There's still so much I want to say and do..." "Well it can wait till next time. If my parents catch me with a boy. A DAUNTLESS of all boys in my house, my father will have my head." I shiver at the thought but Four just seems amused "A boy?" He asks simply and i narrow my eyes at him "Yes a boy. You aren't a man yet" I tease only slightly. He smirks and I start pushing him by his chest to the door so he walks backwards "Well well well. The stiff had sass" he teases me and i roll my eyes "Goodbye Four" I say in a sing song voice. I open my door and quickly check outside. Everyone has retreated to their homes and no one is around to see or notice him leave. I look back inside and see Four smirking at me. "What?" I question, confused. He shakes his head "You'll have to find out whenever I see you next. Which I intend to be soon. Very soon." He says very much like an Candor and I'm surprised. "Until next time Bea.." He whispers and takes my hand and begins to raise it to his lips to kiss but quickly pulls so I come pressed on him and his lips come pressed to mine. My eyes widen but i quickly shut them as I can't help the fit of giggles that escape from my mouth making me sound like a school girl. He grins on my lips and deepens the kiss. We stand there for a minimum of a minute just kissing and as he starts to deepen it I push away from him. "Until next.... Time.." I say out of breath. Both of us are smiling like idiots and he kisses my cheek quickly and to my surprise I'm disappointed he didn't try to kiss me again because I'm sure as the light of day that if he did.... I would melt right under him and not have the will to stop him... He smiles as he quickly runs out the door and out the street. I find myself looking as I watch him from the door. He looks over his shoulder back at me and gives a sly smile. I can't help but smile back. As his eyes are not ahead of him he ends up stumbling and almost tripping. Him looking like a klutz with feet I can't help but laugh as I see him try to regain his balance and try to look once again more like a Dauntless. What have I done....? Whatever it is. I don't regret it for a second...
