I carried her to Luke's room, her sleeping through the entire process, never even flinching.I laid her beside Luke, covering her up- which managed to wake Luke, who hummed- never even noticing me as he pulled the covers over her himself.
Luke.
I woke up to my alarm, which I instantly snoozed, not wanting to hear that at all.
I faced Alexis, feeling her scoot closer to me, her eyes never opening.
I kissed her head, which made her move a little more, but she never spoke.
And just as I drifted back to sleep, I heard the door open.
"Luke" Michael's voice whispered.
"Hm?" I hummed, not wanting to speak.
"We all called in- we're going house shopping together, so take your time getting ready, we'll cook breakfast." He whispered.
"Thank you" I mumbled back, not moving a muscle, feeling Alexis breathing slowly.
Soon Alexis sat up, tiredly looking to me.
"Ready to start our day?" I asked her.
"I guess" she spoke tiredly, rubbing her eyes.
So we started getting ready.
She showered and got dressed, I did the same after her.
"Ready?" I asked as she slipped her shoes on.
"Yeah" she exhaled slowly.
We went downstairs and ate before leaving to go to a real estate agent.
We went through about three beautiful houses, but they just weren't perfect.
But the fourth one she brought us to was very impressive.
We all stood outside as she told us details.
A five bedroom house, five bath.
Huge house, even had a movie room."Let's go inside" michael laughed, making her instantly start unlocking the door.
"Come on, angel" I smiled to Alexis- who kept a straight face, holding her hands together.
But she walked in front of me, straight into the house.
Alexis.
I walked into the living room that I was held in for eleven years.
We were at hell house.
And for some odd reason, I couldn't tell them.
I couldn't speak at all.
We walked into the kitchen that they would make us sandwiches in.
We walked to the backyard- where there was a pool that I never even knew about.
We went to the "movie room" which used to just be one of the rooms we would be raped in.
We went to the basement- where the new girls were held until a month after they were taken- I can't remember what they do to them, but the main reason they were in the basement was so no one could hear them scream.
We moved upstairs.
The rooms we were all held in.
I walked in my room.
It seemed so much bigger, now.
We walked around every single room.
"Can you give us a minute to discuss it?" Ashton asked the lady, who instantly nodded and left as we stood in one of the rooms that I was raped in probably fifteen times.
"I personally love it, so much space and the neighborhood is great-" I found my corner, trying to ignore their words and make my chest stop cramping.
They continued discussing the house.
"You think it's a little too big?" I heard Luke say.
I grabbed my chest, turning away from them.
The pain was traveling from my chest and into my arm, is this a heart attack?
"I think it would be great- and the price is pretty good-" "Alexis, what do you think?" I heard Calum's voice say.
"I-I think I'm having a heart attack" I felt a tear fall down my face as I tried to breathe.
All four of them instantly rushed to me.
"Where do you feel pain?" Calum asked me, his fingers cupping my wrist.
Luke.
She suddenly full on panicked.
She didn't want anyone to touch her, she was shoving us away from her, gripping her chest and crying like I've never seen her die before.
"Please- make it stop" she cried, falling to her knees.
"Angel, let me touch you" I spoke slowly, kneeling to be the same height as her.
"Please don't-" "look at me" I told her, seeing her eyes meet mine.
"It's me, let me see what's wrong with your heart." I spoke calmly.
"Luke- I need out of here- you said you'd protect me." She cried out to me, grabbing my hands as I stared to her, trying to figure out what triggered this.
"Okay- we can leave- is it too much scenery change today, I know it's overwhelming-" "like we're in hell house!" She almost sobbed out.
I didn't hesitate to pick her up bridal style and take her, running out of that building.
I would've never even brought her close to here if I would've known.
I sat her in the drivers seat of the car, not liking her pulse rate at all.
I grabbed a stethoscope, quickly placing the bell on her chest, listening to her fast heart beat.
"Alexis, take a deep breath." I told her, not able to hear much due to her almost hyperventilating
She did as said, and I could finally hear her heart, which was just beating fast, nothing actually wrong.
"Okay, lets leave" I spoke as the realtor came up, wondering what was wrong.
"Wait- I can offer you this house at a discounted price-" "you can keep this fucking house." Calum spat to her as we all got into the car, myself immediately hugging Alexis, who was just crying into me.
"You'll never be back there, angel."
