Tsukishima's POV
We all woke up the next morning remembering our promise. Daichi was the first to speak.
"Ok, so today we start exploring the island. How about we split up and take different parts?"
Asahi and I nodded and we started to get ready. We gathered our things and walked out of the cabin.
That dreaded fog was still there. Did it ever go away?
"OK, Tsukishima, you take the north end. Asahi, you take the west side. I'll take the east side." Daichi explained.
(A/N Their cabin is on the south end, so they already know what's there.)
We all split up and went to our designated areas. I had my notebook with me and jars to take samples.
For our final, we were supposed to find at least 5 different types of plants and animals each, then send in our results to our professors.
~like a 15 minute time skip~
I was walking when I found a plant that I had never seen before. I sat down next to the plant and took out my guide book. I almost had it identified when I heard a noise. I paused what I was doing and was completely still. What if it was some sort of bear? I certainly didn't want to die today.
I heard the thing come into the clearing I was in and stopped.
"Excuse me?"
I jumped up as fast as I could and turned around. Standing there was the boy that almost tried to kill me. I re-gained my composure and started to speak.
"Are you going to try and kill me again?" I asked.
"No! Why would I? That's what I was trying to come here for. I wanted to apologize." He hung his head, almost in shame.
"Well, before I accept I want to know I can really trust you. If you have any weapons on you, I would like you to drop them over by that tree." I pointed to a tall oak across from where I was standing.
He walked over to the tree and started to pull a knife out and set it down. He repeated the process until there were about 13 knifes in the pile.
What the hell?!
"Ok, now what did you want to say to me?" I asked.
"I'm sorry for trowing a knife at your head. I thought you were going to hurt me." He gave a small laugh.
"Well, apology accepted, but I really want to graduate so if you could leave me alone that would be great." I said tiredly.
"Oh! Sorry Tsukki!" He turned around and started to gather his knifes.
I turned to go back to my work but I paused, taking in what he just said.
"Wait, what did you call me?"
He seemed to realize what he said to and stopped.
"Um... Tsukki?" He blushed and looked at the ground.
I was probably blushing to.
Wait what?! I don't even know this guy!
"Well, now that you have a nickname for me, how about I know your name?"
"Yamaguchi."
Yamaguchi. It had a nice ring to it.
KEI TSUKISHIMA GET YOUR SELF TOGETHER.
"Well, Yamaguchi. I need to complete my final. So if you could please leave..."
I didn't have to finish that sentence because he was already going.
"Bye, Tsukki!" He said as he ran into the fog.
I know we made a promise to stay away from them, but that proved to be harder than any of us thought.

Ok *clap*
So, I have a sort of plan for this story. There's a poem that goes with this story, but I can't get it to rhyme no matter what I try so if you hate it when things don't rhyme, i'm sorry.
Two short chapters in one day make one big chapter, right?
Have a great day/night!
