We got into my car and put our seatbelts on before I started the car.
"Where do you wanna go?" I asked while reversing out of my parking spot.
"Uh (your choice)?" Kairi said.
(btw kairi isn't saying your choice I meant like you can decide as in you reading this. I- anyway)
"Ok" I drove to the nearest (your choice) drive thru and we got our food and I payed even though Kairi tried to.
"So I know you said you don't like to talk but can we talk?" I asked before eating.
"Yeah" He said.
"Ok, why do you hate talking to people?" I asked, hoping it wasn't too personal.
"Uhm, I've never really told anyone this other than Mattia but... I really hate getting close to anyone for even a second because then I'll get attached to them and I don't want to have to loose them like I lost my mom." He said looking down at his lap.
"I get you" I replied.
"So we cant be friends" I said, after I said it I realised how stupid I sounded and I mentally face palmed myself. Of course we cant be friends he literally just said he doesn't want to get close to anyone.
"It's too late for that, I already trust you" He said smiling at me. I burst out into laughter and I could tell by the look on his face that he was confused.
"Sorry, sorry. It's just 2 days ago you wouldn't even wave at me and now you trust me" I said still chuckling. He playfully rolled his eyes and we both giggled. Holy shit he has the cutest giggle I've ever heard. I feel like I've known him forever even though I've only known him for a few minutes.

My mom. I heard her. I haven't heard her in a while. A tear ran down my cheek at the thought of her not being able to witness any of this.
