He didn't know what to expect. He had too much to drink when he contacted the operator. Could you even do that anymore? But there was a person on the line. The only reason it actually worked was because Martha never left the small town where they grew up. It made him sad. She was meant for so much more.
The diner hadn't changed. He had. He was sure Martha had changed too. This was probably a bad idea. It was too late now. He was inside now and walking towards her. She stood, facing away from him.
'Hi, Martha.'
