Franny was 6, Zooey was 11. School had just let out for the summer. It was the same every year since they were little, the Catskills mountains in New York. An upper class Jewish family's dream. A haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
It wasn't a haven for Franny and Zooey. It was their definition of hell. No school. no learning and none of their siblings came anymore. An entire summer with their loving yet intellectually inferior parents. Parents that never seemed to understand them. Wanted them to swim and go horseback riding.
Their own hell.
