Inspiration: J.D. Salinger's book The Catcher in the Rye
Character: Holden Caulfield
_____
Holden had to ask for directions to the public library. But once he was there he didn't ask for directions to the children's section. He didn't want to seem like a creep.
He just wanted to sit in those little chairs at the little tables and look at some books. It didn't even really matter what the books were about. He just wanted them to have more pictures than words.
He found one of his favorites from when he was a kid. He thought about taking it with him. Without a library card.
But he left it for the children.
