Inspiration: J.D. Salinger's book The Catcher in the Rye
Character: Holden Caulfield
_____
Holden carried his prize under his coat like he was breaking the law. In reality, it was just a sack of candy.
It didn't matter, his heart palpated like he was getting away with murder.
He was giddy.
He was happy.
He would skip dinner tonight and eat as much candy as his stomach could stand. He got the idea after walking through the park today. The cotton candy stand smelled like summers of an upperclass, privileged childhood.
He sat on his bed and spread out his loot as if it was Halloween.
He was going to get so sick!
