I walked down the halls, balancing a stack of books in my hands to help Jasper and I study for the upcoming exam. I walk into a vacant classroom out teacher allowed us to use, placing the books down onto an empty desk. Other students were in the room, studying as well, asking one another questions or playing games relating to the subject.
I look around, looking for Jasper, only to find him not in the room. I take out my phone pressing a few buttons before holding it to my ear, hearing it ring on the other end. It rang for a few minutes before going straight to voicemail. I tried a few more times but he never picked up, I looked down at the phone in confusion and slight worry. Did he run into trouble?
"Hey." I turn to see a guy walking up to me, adjusting the glasses on his face. "Are you looking for Jasper?" He questioned, crossing his arms.
I nodded, "Yea, have you seen him?"
He nodded in reply before pointing out towards the door, "I saw him walking in the hallway towards the gym storage room. He looked pretty upset."
I nodded, making my way towards the door, "Alright, thank you." I walk out of the door quickly, making my way down the halls. It was so empty, almost as if it was a ghost town. After all, it was after school hours, so everyone would be home doing homework or something.
I hum a small little tone, the sound of my feet hitting the floor seemed to go with the song. I made a left, walking over towards the doors connected to the gym. I pushed open the doors, finding it completely empty except for a basketball rolling across the floor.
I walked across the floor, heading towards the storage room, an uneasy feeling resting in the pit of my stomach as I heard my footsteps echo around the gym. I walk to the storage room, opening the door while saying, "Hey Jasper is everything alrig-"
I froze, my eyes widening in horror, my jaw dropping as I looked at the scene before me. Blood ... blood was everywhere, sightless eyes seemed to stare all at me, the look of terror still present on their faces. Standing in the middle, splattered in crimson red, was Jasper. He seemed out of breath, the grip on his knife seemed to tightened.
He turned his head to look at me, a crazed look in his eyes, a laugh escaping his lungs. "(Y/N)! My best friend! Am I late to our study session?" He asked, almost casually, a smile on his face. "My apologies, I thought this would be a bit faster. I didn't expect so many people." He spoke, looking slightly agitated as he gestured to the dead bodies around him
I then took a good look around, there was my ex, my greatest enemy along with her gang, and a few others that done me wrong. "You ... killed them." I spoke, looking up at him with wide eyes, a wave of emotions hitting me like a train. I felt overwhelmed, my breathing quickening as I took a step back, causing him to stop and look at me with a confused expression.
"Of course I did, they were hurting you." He spoke, stopping in his tracks as confusion glistened in his bright green eyes.
"Hurt me?" I questioned.
"Yes! He punched you and don't even get me started on what they done to you!" He screamed, raising his voice.
"I told you that was an accident! And they were just being ... children! They didn't deserve to be killed!" I screamed back at him, tears streaming down my cheeks as I looked up at him in fear.
"I did this to protect you! To keep you safe!"
"I am safe! You didn't need to kill them Jasper! They didn't deserve to die!" I retorted, taking a small step forward as I gestured to the bodies around him.
