'Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!' I heard and it startled me. I saw a car coming from my left side honking at me annoyingly. I was going to shout 'sorry' at him but I was panting too much and didn't really have the time to pause and catch my breathe. I was already late for school!
I was still halfway from my house to school and it takes full twenty minutes to reach by walking. And first period starts within ten minutes. Suddenly a red sedan came in front of me. I slid on top of it easily but I heard a man's voice shouting at me. I shrugged him off and ignored him. I felt bad but not the time.
After a few minutes, I saw the school gates being closed by the guard. "Hold that open for me please!" I shouted while running and panting.
He looked at me shaking his head but held the gates anyway. When I reached him, he asked, "You know class starts within a minute and a half right?"
I nodded. "I was busy saving the world." I grinned.
He looked at me weirdly but ignored him. Hey, I didn't lie, what I said was true.
He was about to open his mouth again to speak but I left him alone running. I have less than a minute to run and my room is on the other side of the school ground.
Two seconds before the bell rang, I whipped the door open. All of them looked at my direction. Ooops, maybe I opened it a little bit too harsh than intended.
They were all staring weirdly at me. Who wouldn't at that time? Sweat was dripping off of me like as if an odd pour of rain happened under the glistening sun. I could feel the body liquid traveling from my forehead to my chin and on to the floor.
"You barely made it." My teacher said shaking her head.
I had most of the time been late for class. This teacher of mine never gave me detention or anything because I was her best student. Unfortunately, she gave me the ultimatum the day before that that the next time it happens, she wouldn't think twice about giving me detention. She said that even if I had straight A's, constant tardiness will not be accepted. I had to comply to that rule because detention is the last thing I'd want. I have work after school!
"But I did." I smiled.
She nodded and told me to sit.
Lunch time came in before I knew it. Instead of going to the cafeteria, I went to sit under a tree that is far from the school building and dozed off. I wasn't able to sleep the night before because of the sudden jolt I had after I heard my mom's voice in my dream. I had to rest to have the energy for my late night assignments.
I was awoken by some jocks running to the free ground near the tree I was sitting on. I sat up and stretched. A few seconds later I saw a ball coming my way. Usually, a normal girl would scream and get hit on the head, but as for me because of my reflexes I caught it and threw it back to them.
All of them looked at me in shock. I almost slapped myself in front of them for showing something to notice me for. They walked to my direction with a smirk on their faces. When they reached me, I glared at them.
"Feisty! I like that." Zack, the cliché quarterback said. Believe me when I say cliché, I mean the muscles, the fame, the smirks, the occasional bimbos, and just like at that moment, the snide remarks that falls short of being smart.
"What do you want?" I asked irritably.
"How'd you learned your ninja skills?" He asked incredulously. His other teammates chuckled.
"From the professional assassin who killed your brain." I said extremely unamused.
His smirk turned into a glare. His teammates laughed at him saying things like: 'You got burned dude', 'She got you!'. I rolled my eyes at them contemplating if I should elaborate that I was also referring to them; that I was using "your" to address them all.
